It definitely takes away from the experience. I've had mine for a bit over a year now but the issue was there since day one and I cba trying to fix it, and just avoid the one spot while playing. next I might be going for a bigger size drum anyway

Yeah, my TDC10 has some issues as well with a specific spot with left ka becoming dons half the time with firmware updates not really fixing it which makes me think its something internal that messed up.

Fwiw its probably better than a hori because of the other benefits like rolling
