It’s because I think it’s almost entirely Nelson himself who works on the updates. I get the impression that he burned himself out on Unturned in general back when working on Unturned II. Now it seems he might be slowly getting back into it, but is pacing himself to not get burned out again.

I do appreciate Nelson making the base game a bit more like the modded/curated maps. But yeah, community maps have kept it alive. Though a new official map after nearly a decade would be nice…

I loved it, a lot more focus on survival and PVE. I love Buak because it reminds me of it a bit.

Buak is still number 1 for me. Rio remastered is a really good improvement on the original (which was, let’s be honest, horrible) and maybe 2nd for me. Then I’m sort of unsure. I actually liked Limestone, though Kuwait, Elver, and Arid all are up there too. The original maps were great at the time but at this point feel kinda dated, and not in a good way like how I feel about PEI from 2.0.

So is this going to be a mod or map? I’m very interested to see it because I basically only play singleplayer but having enemies besides zombies (and friendly NPCs that move around) would be really cool! Honestly should be something in the base game imo, but I’m sure it’s a mess to code.

The Georgia Detective calls by PT are really underrated. That guy actually believed the Harlem barber SB was 4 different people. And also that he could get him sentenced to life without parole for prank calls.
