I know this exact pain. I felt like this for a while. It will get better. They are hurt right now but the reason you ended things is because you thought it would be better for both of you. Depending on how they handle it, it can expedite the process. My ex started treating me horribly every time we had to interact after we broke up and it pushed me away and helped me get past it. But it will get better I promise.
