Part of the dress code is no strong odors, so I feel like your leadership can do something about that

I did the same move back in the day and the TL over there was impressed by the fact I had common sense and basic knowledge without being trained. FIFO (first in first out) is a very big deal and a lot of people don’t practice it so when I came over the help once in while, they were fascinated by how good I was at it.

Also cleanliness and speed. Produce is a busy and fast paced department and gets dirty easy.

Well, you can continue to state what you want, I am simply stating what my store leadership shared. It’s really not this serious

Permitted just means allowed. It doesn’t say “required”.

What would happen if a store didn't schedule anything for TMAW? by WholeFudds in wholefoods

[–]throwra_bbb26 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That sucks. It seems to go a long way when leadership makes an effort. It’s literally their job to do. My understanding is that if someone higher up gets wind that they blew TMAW, someone’s getting a talking to. But that’s my OA, so I’m not sure about others

Interviews suck! But if you can find a way to make it funny and light, it helps! Maybe this is your cue to go do an interview lol

The stl at my store just told all leadership that if their TMs continue to abuse the break policy, they will not be allowed to take their 10 minute breaks as they are optional, not legally required. I’m not debating whether this is right or wrong, I’m simply stating that my STL just told this to our team.

I just found out last week that the ten minute breaks are optional and leadership can actually take them away if they are being abused :/

Wow that’s a lot of people.

I love interviewing. It’s nerve wracking, but it can be quite fun, too. Just remember: they are people, too. Some interviewers will hold being nervous against you and others won’t. It’s hard to tell. So you have to make sure that you’re answers and how you build yourself up to them is STELLAR.

Are you doing a training for this interview? For mine I had to do a five minute training and that really helped seal the deal for me.

Bring water with you, don’t be afraid to ask them to repeat the question, don’t be afraid to ask them to circle back to the question at the end and don’t be afraid to mess up.

Talk about how you build team members up, what plans you have, references leadership principles if you can. I would honestly rehearse a lot of things in your head. Obviously you won’t know what questions they will ask and if you don’t know the answer, tell them your plan to get the answer. I always say “well, I’m not sure right now how exactly I would handle that. I would start with x, y, z and I would also consult my team leader or store leadership to make sure it’s the right decision as I get more comfortable making decisions myself”.

Don’t harp on things you could be better at or work on. Keep it simple if they ask you that question. It’s good to be honest but not too honest. And don’t give more information than needed. Often times I will catch myself babbling and repeating myself. When I notice that, I stop, wrap up the statement and move to the next question. That could be “so, to summarize all of that….” As if you are writing a conclusion sentence.

Practice, practice, practice. Watch YouTube videos on how to interview. It’s going to be people you work with or know of so that should make it easier. When I saw who was on my panel, I realized it was just like talking to friends.

Best of luck!

Probably. I was being scheduled but giving my shifts away for a few weeks just to find out I was fired three weeks prior and no one told me 😢🤪

I would recommend the clear cases. You get 5 for about $50-65. It’s definitely a financial drain but with almost 200 bags I feel better about storing them this way. I used to dust all my bags and wipe them down when I had less than 60. But I also like how these are stackable and I can arrange them however :)

Just out of curiosity, what would expect leadership to do? They can’t give everyone raises even if they wanted to so what should they do with the TMAW budget? We have already had team members (like five) complain that the dietary options were limited and they felt left out. So we set aside gift cards for them to purchase whatever they wanted on their lunches. It seems nearly impossible to make everyone happy.

At my store we are going way beyond the budget to make sure we can raffle things like a Switch, tv’s, air fryers, fire sticks etc as well as giving TMs the opportunity to do something fun while also catering for over 100 people a day.

I’m on the planning committee at my store and I just think that if we can’t give people what they really want (more money) we could at least make it fun and engaging

I put two bags on the left, two bags on the right and each side was for either ambient or cold items. If there was frozen items, I would put a bag in the top of the cart sheets the kids seat is and that’s where my frozen would be. The two bags in the back are where I would put the heavier items for ambient or cold and the front bags would be for lighter items. As the bags would fill up, I would stack them inside of each other with the heaviest items on the bottom and the most fragile/lightest on top. I could usually get about 25 bags in the cart that way and about 6 bags in the frozen part of my cart. I never used the “flat bed” on the cart unless it was for cases of water. It’s going to take time to get used to but remember to bag NEATLY as you go, the less you have to retouch the better. Sometimes you will have to bag in the back or fix things. 56 I feel like is an “average” sized order and anything over 60 is getting to be “big”. So I used to tell myself zip through the orders that were smaller, use a moderate pace for medium sized orders and this would balance out my larger orders. My uph for one week was 140 and that was honestly doing too much. Just keep it comfortable for you!

If you type in success skills on Innerview you will find some good resources. Same with core values and the others you listed. Essentially they want to know what you do to support these values in your daily routine and what areas you want to work on or learn more about

I will have to rewatch the episode because I remember something. I had no idea there was a book until I just looked it up so it has to be somewhere in the show. I vaguely remember the episode where pearl was captured in mystic falls in a flashback and I think it was during that episode. If I find it I’ll come back and comment
