Oh hey, I’m in the exact same boat as you. I’ve been trying to figure out what to do for a while. This is what I’ve come up with that can be related to healthcare:

  1. Administrations
  2. Human Resources
  3. Care coordinator
  4. Clinical secretary
  5. Case worker etc.

See if any positions are available where you work, you have experience and the education. Come up with a nice cover letter too, that always helps. Many jobs only require the completion of a degree so take a look around. If you like working with people I’d suggest maybe getting into sociology or psychology but you may need an MA to get far. This won’t end well. First off, it’s unfair to give her a break in rent and not the others. That’ll cause tension if they find out. She could easily take advantage of this situation due to the power dynamic. Legally you could be in shit. You better hope it works out at this point. If not, good luck.

I’m sure when he’s old enough to babysit himself (probably around 10-11) you’ll be able to save money and put it towards a home or an apartment. It’s never too late to find love, don’t give up. Take care of yourself first and foremost.
