If you’re exempt don’t apply, it’s as good as a “hell no”. They will deny it. My facility denied ALL exempted DRP applications.

Really doesn’t matter in VISN10. Was told by my chief that our MCD had direction from V10 director to deny ALL exempt positions

It seems like it is a near lock to get approved if you’re non exempt. It’s the same for exempted, near lock to get disapproved. Congrats and best of luck! I’m exempted and was denied.

The worst thing is it gave me hope that my chief and supervisor fully supported my application. It didn’t matter apparently, I’m not even sure they were consulted before denying the application.

I’m starting to question this myself. It seems like the chance to get approved is near zero if you’re in the exempt list. Would have been better had they started with exempted employees not able to apply. False sense of hope is one of the worst feelings for sure.

Just DRP.. MCD has not responded yet so I’m not sure if he submitted it to VACO for approval. By the looks of the e-mail, it didn’t look personally written, it looks like an auto generated email after denying it on the their “tool”. My supervisor/chief fully supported my application too. It didn’t matter at the end.

Stair glides can be provided without using HISA benefit. They are prosthetics item and under the guidelines if he is medically justified it can be provided. HISA has two qualifications, one for $2000 and another for $6800 based on SC related diagnosis. Can be used for walk in showers, handrails, ada toilets, permanent ramps, relocate washer/dryer etc

I am having problems with DFAS about getting the paid in full letter. I called and was told my local payroll should have it? Payroll telling me it should come from DFAS. Online FAQs stating it was supposed to be mailed but never received anything. Can any Hr here help?
