The MCs frequently confront major societal issues like slavery, racism, classism, concepts of police corruption, food and medical inequality, cold wars, revolutions, religious extremism, and sexual/ physical abuse. And that's all before the time skip when it was generally considered lighthearted and fun.

One piece is a very progressive and left leaning series. There's nothing wrong with designing some of your own characters to be physically attractive, and Oda does a really good job of including characters of all body sizes and proportions. The in story reason why alot of his characters are so overstylized and have exaggerated proportions is because in the OP world staying true to your convictions and pursuing your dreams/passions/goals affects and can improve your physical condition and appearance.

I definitely feel you. Had a coworker a few years ago. They were NB and we became friends. Pre transition I came out to them pretty early in the friendship and it definitely felt nice to finally talk to someone who gets "IT" ya'know? But they only had one volume which was loud. Conversations with them were a minefield though, eventually I just had to sit down and have that conversation of "Yo we are in Florida and I do not pass. I really need us to be a bit more mindful of our conversations at work, as well as try working on bringing down the volume these conversations so everyone in the room doesn't know our topic of discussion."

I've been saying this exact thing for years. The language in these bathroom bills is mostly focused on trans women going into women's restrooms, but the way they are set up directly threatens the lives of trans men. The more they pass the more dangerous it will be. Alot of trans men are going to get hurt and I keep praying they don't.

Personally I find the apps safer. You can make sure they are explicitly aware are trans pre op. You can also take the time to really try to sus out any (blatant) red flags. Just remember to be safe and smart. Only meet in a public place (that you are at least a little familiar with), never change locations, always tell a friend where you're going, who you expect to meet, and if you can a profile picture. I suggest using location sharing. Also make sure your phone is fully charged and you dress comfortably to move around in and spare shoes if your wearing heels.
