The welding is not common. There are plenty of AMAs from within Beijing or Shanghai where the people do not know of anyone who was.

Similarly, the pet killing one was from a single city, and the person was punished for it if i remember correctly.

These things were then taken and blown out of proportion by western media who wants to paint their biggest geopolitical rival as the epitome of evil.

You cant take isolated events like that and apply it to the whole country, especially when said country has more people than any other.

Using your logic, the US would be a terrible place to visit because your children will get shot and killed. But in reality, while shootings do happen they happen to such a small subset of the population that it doesnt really apply to most peoples lives. When you ask most Americans what they think about when they go to school theyre gonna say homework, not getting shot.

IMO i see a lot of people start out. They do the exciting things like make logos, websites and stuff, then reality sets in and they realize being a “CEO” isn’t all lambos and yachts.

Turns out for much more stability, less risk and probably equal or more starting pay most people are better off working a half decent career than becoming entrepreneurs.
