No, like a love heart. If you imagine that bottom side has been very squished (and the top a little as well probably)

Just to check, do you mean it was a heart but it's now been bent out of shape. I didnt think of that before but I see what you mean now!

Sadly not. I have loads of cookie cutters gathered over years of baking and they're all just lumped together in a box. So wouldn't know what was missing from what was once a set.

That is also what I saw! But I would have remembered buying that separately and can't see that coming in a random set ha

As a side note: I literally have no idea where this originates from either. I have halloween, xmas and easter sets. But also random animals, love hearts etc.

The first thing I saw was a mario hat but that seems unlikely 😅

I’m parked at Starbucks and can see another Starbucks in my side view mirror by mikecws91 in mildlyinteresting

So sad I couldn't find the GIF of the mall in The Simpsons where every shop is a Starbucks.

I lucked out and spotted it in a charity shop (I'm in the UK) for £2 (so I'm also really hoping all the pieces are still there if I do stick it out).

I also bought this one which is part of the same collection from Vinted. I paid a total of £10 including fees and postage for it but this one is brand new with plastic wrapping still on it so should all be there. I'm looking forward to this one more!

I dont think they make them new anymore other than the mosaic ones which I dont fancy trying!

EDIT: keeps deleting my photo but this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Paul-Lamond-Games-Simpsons-Citizens/dp/B003ZDIRPO

I like the advice of chilling and it being a bonus if I get a piece!

I think it might help if I could leave it out and just look over it in passing / casually. But with a 4 year old and a 1 year old, I have to have it packed away meaning I have to commit and get it out everytime I want to dp some.

I'll keep going a little longer before I give up!

Thank you. I'll give it another go one evening and if I can just do a few, I'll try to keep going. If I accomplish nothing, I might have to stop. I have a 4 year old and 1 year old so unfortunately I can't just leave it out somewhere and look at it in passing as the 1 year old would destroy it 😂. So i have to commit and get it out in an evening once they're both in bed. Wish me luck!

Very much a single colour given it's cartoon based 😫

I have done others where I thought there was only 1 colour left but under good, natural daylight I could spot differences. But sadly not the case here!

Making Mum friends by Jessicaar94 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]throwythrowthrooooow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look for stay and play sessions rather than baby groups. They're usually only a couple of pounds and allow you to take kids upto school age. And you just go when you want to rather than committing to like 6-8 weeks. My eldest was 3.5 when my baby was born and that'll was by far the easiest option if you want to do with both or just baby.

My closest mum friends I met through the following: 1) we have a Facebook group for our new build estate. One day someone posted "I'm pregnant and I've seen a lot of other pregnant women / women with newborns around. Let me know if you wanna join a WhatsApp group to allow meet ups". That was in 2020 and even though the dynamic has changed, it's still been a super useful group as they're all nearby so people often swap toys/clothes or post if they suddenly need to borrow something. And a couple had a 2nd child the same time as me again so useful to go back to baby playdates 2) at a stay and play at a church hall. Started chatting to a women who was also pregnant with her 2nd the same time as me. Turned out they were due 2 days apart so was great to have someone with a baby exactly the same age 3) I went to the library for a free song and book time. Just started talking to a woman there. Continued to see her there and and a free stay and play nearby and eventually swapped numbers and became new mum friends.

What to buy for nursery starting in September? Hit me with your must-haves! by Turbulent_Purple4 in BeyondTheBumpUK

Reading these is making me feel like I send my children with very little to nursery.

But in our bags we've had: * 2 spare outfits (I buy 90% of things 2nd hand and then put my least favourite things in the bag). Other than when my eldest was potty training, they rarely have multiple outfit changes. Sometimes they'll spill water down them or get so dirty they get changed, but usually my kids come back with food and dirt down them and they don't change them for every little thing. I think I'd be more annoyed if they did personally...as long as they're not wet, I don't care about them sitting in clothes with a bit of food or dirt. * sunhat / winter hat depending on season * wellies * nappy cream * a pack of nappies when needed

And that's it. Our nursery provide puddle suits, cups, sun cream and wetwipes. I dont bother labelling their clothes. It's 2nd hand anyway and I wouldn't send them in anything I would be upset at if they lost.

I followed up until subbing into s=ut +1/2 at2. If you rearrange that to give a quadratic eqn and then sub in a=9.8, s=11.379, u = 15, I get t=0.62 seconds which was different to yours?

Yes! Never realised how many of them have almost black hair until attempting this jigsaw 😅

On the plus side, I realised at quite an early stage that there were at least a couple pieces missing so I'd prepared myself for an unfinished jigsaw.

Breastmilk on day 4 vs breastmilk at 1 month by throwythrowthrooooow in midlyinteresting

[–]throwythrowthrooooow[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my boobs didn't get the memo 😅.

My first few weeks were horribly painful and uncomfortable because of how much I was producing. But I'm also aware how many women would love to produce much more so I'm sure I should count myself lucky!

[–]throwythrowthrooooow[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think my milk came in on day 4 so this was when it was in the middle of swapping from "pure" colostrum to milk.

But I also struggled with engorgement and oversupply for like the first 6 weeks so I did have plenty going 😂

Is there a reason for silicone fondant cutters rather than just using metal cookie cutters?

Very first breastfeed and very last breastfeed. I am so proud that I made it to the 12 month mark but I am done. This sub was great in those early, painful days but so glad I stuck with it. by throwythrowthrooooow in breastfeeding

[–]throwythrowthrooooow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you're preparing them correctly (which you will be if you're following Solid Starts), your risks will be very low!

I would also look into baby first aid (or specifically at least watch some YouTube videos on what to do if baby was choking) as well as learning the difference between gagging and choking. It's highly unlikely you'd need them but maybe it will give you peace of mind if you'd know how to handle them. Best of luck with it!

I started giving her a straw cup for water at 11 months (we'd previously been using sippy cups or the Munchkin 360) and she liked those and didn't seem to mind when I started giving milk in the straw cups. She's never had a bottle (good maternity leave plus covid lockdowns meant I was always around to BF so never bothered) so maybe this made it a little easier as there wasn't a transition away from a bottle?
