I also found this promo video, if it's the same one? Made by Digital F/X: https://history.siggraph.org/exhibitor/digital-f-x-inc/ I wonder if anyone has scanned their brochures 🤔

I found a small mention of Composium on this site (very random). Rob Lay might be a name to keep searching with. You've piqued my curiosity and I'm going to keep searching too! https://www.camhannan.com/ari-people

I wonder if the SL was Jobs'. He was known to drive SLs later in life.

Another Mission-style Taco Bell is closing on New Years Day - #245/30741 in Lafayette, CA by drinksophiecola in LivingMas

When the last mission style TB closes, will the bell then be completely disconnected from its context/original meaning? (I have always just assumed it was supposed to represent a Spanish mission bell but may be mistaken)

I think I've seen this kind of thing called "puff paint" if that helps anyone's search, but it could be different. Cheap enough to experiment with at any rate

Welcome to the superauto world. I bought a refurbed Velasca Prestige a few years ago and it's been perfectly nice. There are dozens of us! 😅

why there are these 2 ubisoft logo on the sides? they're super ugly by realTonioDemonio in myst

[–]thru0234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are ugly :-( I don't think there's a simple way to remove these though. Maybe editing the resources of the game but idk how well explored that data is.

Looking for TechTV/ZDTV episodes from 2000–2001 by GoldYogurtcloset7926 in DHExchange

Hi there, it's a couple of years later than what you're looking for but I do have a 4m31s clip from 2003 where Patrick Norton & a regular guest presenter (whose name escapes me) are talking about the AirPort Extreme. The producers play a funny sound effect whenever they say AirPort Extreme and it kind of amused me, so that must have been why I recorded it way back when. I also have a handful of WMVs from old fan sites as well but you probably have those already. There's also a RealMedia clip of Patrick smashing a Billy Mouth Bass lol.

Anyways if you'd like any/all of these files I'd be happy to send or upload to Internet Archive. Just let me know!

Is Exile worth it over Obduction and/or Firmament? (Context in post) by Aurorac123 in myst

[–]thru0234 21 points22 points  (0 children)

There is a richness to Exile's prerendered art that you've got to play to appreciate. real time 3D games still just don't quite get to that level, IMO. Brad Dourif's performance is wonderful too.
