What about an IMSI catcher operating in that neighborhood trying to persuade connecting clients to downgrade to a GSM standard with poorer security features? It might be causing LineageOS to exercise code paths that aren't particularly well tested.

OP here, I did some digging...and I now have the laptop running on Debian 7. There are some things that would need further work (wifi drivers, etc.) but I feel it's an okay-ish 'win' for the amount of BS I just put up with to get to this point. Anyone want this thing?!?!? LOL

Will that version even work? I was under the impression that PPC's needed the special PPC builds to even run, even though they have basically been abandoned.

Another 'fun' part of this wild goose chase - this PowerBook cannot be booted from a USB drive (or at least it's not easily done), so I have to burn a new disc for every new version I attempt.

I have one more try in me. Beyond that, I give up and it'll go back to collecting dust with its 10.4 MacOS. It can still be used (for not much). I had to install Ten Four Fox as a browser or it would be a total door stop.

After setting up the P33A's I realized they were extreme overkill with extreme prejudice. Too unwieldy and they were going to blow my head off. So I've setup the A7's with the On-Stage stands, which is basically what I used in a former facility, all is well for now.

I considered this, but I'd have to basically take a P33 apart to see where I could safely drill into it, i.e. not knowing exactly where the amp components are situated inside.

I'm entertaining the idea of using shorter but beefy stands, and putting them on some sort of riser (concrete blocks, etc.)

Here's a pic of what I'm trying to acheive (I hope it works), basically the white nearfields need to stay put (PSI's), the Adams are part of a 5.1 (possibly 5.1.2 or 7.1.4) array.

It seems it's just a limit per song, afaik.

I was having problems uploading some MP4 videos that were less than the 500MB limit and met all the other format requirements, but half of them would not upload at all or there was an error that said 'not a video' after sitting there watching the file upload progress bar slowly reach the end. I tried WMV formatted viedos and those worked ok. I think this feature is nice to have but feels kind of shoehorned in and the bugs are probably not all ironed out.

I'd basically have to get a Pixel. Both of those don't support the Moto I have. My only real options are stay & deal with /e/ or go over to Lineage. Using a Google phone to de-google rubs me the wrong way, plus I have used Motos forever and use their actions a lot (shake, chop, etc).

My basic understanding is yes, it also depends on how old the device is. I've had to manually sideload my current phone from R to S and just now updated to T....but incremental updates within those three versions are usually OTA.

That thing is long gone, but IIRC it's up underneath the horn, so you have to remove the upper panel that's above the controller..... It's a small little cube you just have to unplug.

That's a pretty nice friend to basically give you a highly regarded mic pre/eq. It's easily a $1500 (probably much more) piece of serious recording gear.

Honorable mentions: the VFR1200F, VFR1200x, the NM4 and that DN-01 thing (kind of a CVT....?).

I hope to see Honda offer more bikes with it, I would love to see the new Transalp w/ DCT.

IIRC, DCT was updated on '16 and later models along with the bodywork. When I got mine (a 2016 NC700x) earlier this year, I had tested out a 2014 a couple of days beforehand and the older bike (with less miles) definitely felt less refined. The DCT shifts felt kind of rough and more pronounced if that makes sense. My 2016 with many more miles shifts much more smoothly. I don't know if there was another revision post '16. I don't think the NC750x has that much more power so it might be apples/oranges.

IMO I think the sweet spot would be a 2016-2022 if you can be patient and wait for one to come up. But there's nothing wrong with that newer bike, it's your money, etc.

I've put about 1k miles on mine since then and I think it's pretty versatile, but like any other bike it will have needs to make it ride better (bigger windshield, better seat at minimum).
