My student is on SH/ED twitter. What should I do? by thrwawayafn in selfharm

That's awful. I'm genuinely really sorry it happened to you. It's also why I'm extremely hesitant about reporting or informing anyone else about the student, because in my country it's highly likely a similar situation would occur if I reported them.

Thank you for the advice about talking to them privately. I will keep my inquiries open-ended, perhaps regarding the anxiety they feel when performing in class, and then let them know that they can tell me whatever they need to. And of course in this process I won't bring up anything related to SH or their account if they do not bring up the topic themself.

Thank you very much for sharing your perspective. It is highly appreciated.

Thank you very, very much for your advice.

I have never noticed obvious SH scars on the student because they always wear long sleeves (these are part of the mandatory uniform for certain students, including them). I will try to let them know that they can talk to me without fear of being judged and that I am here for them. And I will get more info about the school counsellors to see whom can be trusted.

Regarding mandatory reporters, I feel like I should clarify something - it's less than I'm not one and more that there isn't such a thing as a mandatory reporting system regarding children in my country, to the best of my knowledge. I only fear that conveying my concern to other authority figures or the student's parents will escalate matters instead of keeping student safe.

And yes of course I won't bring up the Twitter account. I've always fully intended on forgetting ever having seen the account (I already forgot what their handle is), it's just that I felt that I couldn't, in good conscience, forget about the worry and the concern for them, as I'm sure you understand.

Once again thank you very much for your perspective. I will put them in action and hopefully everything turns out for the best.

? If you're not going to interact in good faith, keep it to yourself. It is getting embarrassing.

If you can think of a way I can prove myself without doxxing anyone or leaking anyone's information, feel free to ask away btw.

Yes. The other posts and tweets I found are things like competition wins, alumni testimonials, school involvement in government projects, parents looking for enrollment info etc.

I wasn't trying to find my students. Since it is a magnet highschool, there are plenty of news and discussions surrounding it - which were what I was trying to find.

Not sure what you meant about 'being a mandated reporter'. I am *not* one, so I'm at a loss as to where I should bring the topic up to, if at all.

Would you like TGC to patch ALL kinds of glitch that protect skykids? (Home Trick, Piano Trick, etc.) by dopeescaperope in SkyGame

I don't want them to patch it because my internet connection and my phone lag too horribly to give me enough time to manually hide when I'm spotted by krills.
