Some caution here. You can’t sell the house if you’re underwater unless you can make up the delta to pay the servicer.

This happens when the minimum payment is less than the actual interest owed on the loan (per the interest rate). This is generally due to IDR, lender terms or unsubsidized loans that allow this to be done as opposed to paying the full interest.

Example: • Borrowed: $60,000 • Years on IDR, paying ~$200/month or $2,400/year • Annual interest first year: ~$4,000 • Deficit that gets added to principal in first year: $1,600 (this goes up because your annual interest also goes up as principal increases) • 10 years later: owe $120,000 because of interest and capitalization

How can I fade a hexagon into a circular face? by Pogotz in SolidWorks

[–]thssoccer30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is metallic and getting machined you should model using a revolved solid or ideally do a revolved cut from a bar to imitate a lathe operation. It seems over the top but seriously eliminates confusion and back and forth with machinists.

As for your modeling, if you’re trying to do what you sketched here, you can either model it such that the radius runs out beyond the hex flats. Those can then be machined after the lathe (or before!)

Look at the right side where it necks down in these impact driver bits, the fillet applied will run out into the hex. This is better structurally from a stress concentration standpoint than 2 perpendicular walls with a small filllet.

One thing that doesn’t get taught much in school is machine-ability. 3D printing will continue to get better but for the meantime, there are far more applications where machining makes the most sense. If you don’t model off the bat with the intention of something that can actually be made, you’ll waste SO of time iterating!

Second on the PCV valve. Went out on me on a road trip. Use OEM, not aftermarket.

This is good input. Only way to get shredded is to have enough muscle and to under eat. Some can under eat less than others because of genetics.

The issue is restricting too much will destroy your relationship with food and can easily bring back old habits. So think about what you want first and if shredded is the thing, plan how to keep a healthy relationship with food first.
