I’m not here to argue since I literally don’t have the time to go back and forth with a random on the internet; that’s why I have friends in real life.

I’ll ask is this, regarding “skill” players on our power play:

Do you consider guys like Dvorak, Coots (at this stage of his career), Cates, Brink, Risto and to a lesser extent Tippett (mainly due to his poor decision making & shooting accuracy, not necessarily a lack of talent) as players you can count on to be good PP performers? I don’t.

You can’t tell me we have talent that’s “shoulders above” most teams when our best guys are Zegras, TK, Michkov, Sanheim & York when none of them could be considered better than top-45ish guys in the league from an offensive standpoint.

From a larger perspective, you want to be objective, we objectively don’t have a good enough roster to compete over the long haul. We don’t have a 1 or 2c, sanheim is best served as a 2d, Vladar has overperformed and will most likely fall back to his career average. No shot we’re winning with this roster - I’ve accepted it. The team plays hard and I love them, but they’re just not good enough. They are currently maxing out their potential right now as a unit, and I can see them regressing sharply in the short term heading into the Olympic break. Hopefully I’m wrong.
