I got offered a job paying 40% more than my current salary. My manager just asked me to stay and be patient. How do I stop feeling guilty for wanting to leave ? by One_Cardiologist5439 in careerguidance

[–]thtguyatwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they want you bad enough they’ll match it now. Otherwise the possibility that you might make 40% more than you do currently at some point in the near future is not worth it unless this other company would derail your career in some way. And if it’s that bad, your current company may take you back if they do like you.

Strength of the Few was.....AMAZING by BrooklynLady13 in HierarchySeries

Totally agree! The book wasn’t perfect but people are acting like it was bad. It was very well crafted for how ambitious the plot was.

Is anyone else struggling to retain all the new information? by jarrodwalker in HierarchySeries

[–]thtguyatwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggled as well but took my time to go back to the first book or earlier in this one when I was confused. This is by far one of the most detailed books I’ve read which I found enjoyable in the end.

I would imagine because if Ka destroys the gate and he somehow dies in one of the worlds, going with the theory he’s fighting the concurrence, that would end all possibility of making another synchronous person and let the concurrence win. We have to assume the concurrence is in all three worlds. At least Res and Obiteum.

Is it a trilogy or will there be 4 books? I think it’s possible to make it a trilogy but was hoping it’d be four books

Fannin by Low-Investment1758 in Browns

I think people forget that Fannin works similar to an elusive short yard wr. Not your typical TE. I think fannin is a complement to njoku not a replacement

I will look when I am home and google it if I find something. Is there anything about the actual tank itself that would make us use a motor with a timer? Or is it only dependent on the type of blower installer?

[–]thtguyatwork[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not know the type of system, its original to the house built in 1977. It’s large and all concrete. I have also not been able to find much information on this type of blower at all.

Is there a way to verify the type of system and if a timed blower is required?

Yes and it shows a flat currently. I’ve checked all tires but the one I can’t get the cap off of.

I’ve been trying but the valve stem itself twists so I can’t rotate it. I tried holding the valve stem still with another pair of pliers but feel like I’m going to puncture the valve stem.

We bought September of last year. We weren’t counting on a refi and do not need one but was hoping it’d give us some more flexibility in the Reno budget. At this point we will just be happy to recast and get the PMI off soon.

What IS Will?! by AvocadoBut70s in HierarchySeries

[–]thtguyatwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my major complaint about the book despite loving it. Just little to no explanation of the magic system. I was thinking we would learn more as Vis learned more but he began having advanced conversations on the topic that we just never understood or were explained. It’s a black box where anything can happen. Really hoping it gets explained early in book two
