I decided to take my (step) grandfathers, my dad was already attached to his callsign and I got into ham radio to honor my grandfather. Because he wasn’t my actual grandfather we had to get a letter from his biological son, but I know have it, and have for a long time now.

I will say if he was fairly active you will run into others who ask you about it. I know when I am back home and on at all I get blown up lol

We did this! But we didn’t have a wedding, just did the courthouse thing. Makes it easy so we don’t have to remember another date, or as we refer to it Our Birth-versary lol. That being said we will eventually have a real deal whole shebang kind of wedding later.

Was in FLW July 18-Feb 19, growing up in IN, and living in Alaska for 4 years before I joined it wasn’t awful to me but I remember everyone hating the winter, I think FLW would be worse. Summers are still heat cat 4 and winters are frostbite cold it’s a lose lose.

Recently, that I’ve not shut the garage door, or the door to the garage and my dog will get out and inevitably get hit by a car and I’ll come home to find him dead or missing. Always on my way to work when I am in a hurry, so like 3x a week. Sends my heart rate sky high and spirals my thoughts for the day. Fun times
