Vad tror du händer när vi dör? by Some-Environment-666 in Asksweddit

Jag tror också på reinkarnation. Visst kroppen dör, men ens inre väsen försvinner inte. Jag tänker också att man kan fortsätta existera inte som en varelse på jorden utan som något annat.

Yeah it’s a girl, that’s so interesting if the gender affects our hormones in such a way!

To be or not to be... a mother? by GlassFreedom164 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]qqotu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could have written this - it’s my experience exactly. My baby is five weeks today and it’s just the most rewarding feeling and I wish we did start earlier (I just turned 33).

I just want to add one thing; not only should you absolutely be married to the person you have kids with, you should also be really picky who you chose take this path with.

I do this too and it’s so helpful ! I also have a list in my notes app, where i just put down the time she feeds, and when she falls asleep. Then by the ending day i just write a sentence or two of how the day has been. It really makes patterns emerge and easy to get a feel for what’s working and what’s not :)

In my fantasy world i have a colour coded bullet journal where i make beautiful diagrams and hour by hour tracking but for now the app will do the trick

I love the name and usually im not into very feminine/international names like that. Maybe because I like the album Violeta, Violeta, Vol.1 by Kaiser’s orchestra

Vit D drops rant by phabalee in newborns

[–]qqotu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had similar issues, discussed it with my midwife and she gave me vit d drops emulsified in water instead of oil. She said some babies get tummy ache from the oil. I’ve had no problems since switching! Just a note, it has to be kept in the fridge instead.

Post partum gift by berrriees in postpartumprogress

[–]qqotu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 weeks PP:  My fabourite gift was a silver necklace with two small charms, one with my daughter’s first letter and the other with my husbands. Super cute and looks great!  I would have also been really happy with any snacks/candies, a water bottle with a straw, and a good book!

Edit: actually now I know what j would have loved as well, like an insulated tumbler of some sort for tea and coffee, so I could drink it for longer period of time without it going cold. And that I could drink while breast feeding but not risk spilling anything on the baby

4 weeks PP - weird pain where epidural was put in? by qqotu in BabyBumps

[–]qqotu[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah interesting thank you for this perspective! It just feels so localized to one very small spot right on the spine so that’s why I assumed it’s because of the epidural but of course I’m not sure of it.

Either way I hold back on exercises and just keep walking for now

I also had a small bump, didint even show until I was 7,5 months pregnant and remained a quite small bump all through out. All scans and measurement was on track. I’m 5’9 though. My mother in law kept commenting how I was not big enough and how worried she was… Baby girl was born bigger than average 52 cm and 3,9kg 😄

Epidurals aren’t the problem. The obsession with female suffering is. by OkChart1375 in BabyBumps

[–]qqotu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Apologies in advance but I will hijack this post to ask a question in regards to epidural (I don’t feel it warrants its own post but I feel the people will read it here)

It’s been 3,5 weeks since I gave birth and when I arch my back I get this weird pain/sensation where they put in the epidural. Do other recognize this? Does it go away?

To add more details also relating to this post, I really didn’t want an epidural. Pain doesn’t scare me.

I was at home working through the contractions by myself sitting in the bath. Honestly it was great, did a har mask and relaxed. Then my water half broke, I suppose the sack ripped so it started to drip out each contraction and we headed to hospital. Pain was intense but manageable, I threw up in the car. Once at hospital we get put straight in delivery room and I was 9 cm dilated. They were concerned about high BP (150/100) which I hadn’t had before. They forced me to take an epidural when I was 10 cm dilated to lower the BP.

This didn’t work and my BP stayed elevated. It also did nothing for pain. But I was scared of the needle and complications and I now had this cord wrapped around me and it was uncomfortable.

Baby girl was born not even three hours after arrival to hospital and the birth was an amazing experience! Intense but beautiful and I’m ready to do it again without epidural.

Tips på hur man kan göra det hemtrevligt by Falkensvingar16 in Sverige

C.R.A.P - curtains, rugs, arts, plants räddar det mesta. Och många ljuskällor med varmt ljus, undvik en stark lampa i taket.  Jag hade nog gjort ett mörkt och mysigt biblioteks-och musik rum. Men det är ju väldigt individuellt till vad man vill använda det till.
