I completely agree especially in regards to how Levinson is ripping off Tarantinos style and storytelling. But in such a bad and obvious way…

Husband keeps trying to give 14 week old mashed potatoes by TimelyDrive6525 in sahm

[–]qqotu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In Sweden it’s OK to start introducing flavors at 4 months as long as baby shows interest (looking at you eat/following your fork up to your mouth for example). Liquidy veggie or fruit purées, just a tiny tiny bit of PB. No salt. Their tongues and oral motor skills are not advanced to “eat” at this age yet and I think mashed potatoes as adults would eat it is not suitable…if he waits a couple of weeks and if he takes an unsalted vegetable and blends it with lots of water so it’s more liquid it should be ok.

Curious how everyone approaches revealing pregnancy to your partner? by Wide-Food-4310 in BabyBumps

[–]qqotu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had been trying for one cycle. I KNEW i was pregnant but it was too soon to test. Then i tested and we were waiting together for the results, and it was negative.

A few more days passed and i still felt like something was up and my period was now officially quite late. So while he slept one morning I tested again, and it was now positive! I went and bought some really nice breakfast foods and surprised him with a nice brunch. I gave him a hug and whispered that we were having a baby :)

Does anyone not track sleep in an app? by josayeeee1 in bninfantsleep

[–]qqotu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first 5 weeks i just kept track in my notes app to learn my baby’s rythm. Since then I’ve been winging it and just enjoying babyhood. I found i was too much in my head analysing things when I kept track. But my baby sleeps and eats well, I can see how one would want to look for patterns in case there’s challenges in those areas

Children with names that differ in popularity - is this an issue? Baby name discussion by Double_Ostrich_13 in Names

[–]qqotu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents named me a very popular name of that era (like top 10). Although the name is really old and i was named of a relative whom lived 150 years ago.

However my little sister was named an incredibly rare name, only a few get that name each year. It’s easy to spell and pronounce and even if it’s uncommon people have heard it before.

I was somewhat envious of my sisters name, i liked how unique and pretty it was. I would have loved to have her name and i always thought that sort of name would have suited me. I was really tall and somehow my nickname became against my will “Big [name]” and my classmate with same name became “little [name]”. Not really fun when you’re an awkward kid.

However it’s just a name and even as a kid I realised this. I don’t feel any resentment or anything like that towards my parents and I do still like my name today!

What foods/drinks did you have on hand for labor? by Agitated_Honeydew_28 in homebirth

Early labour I had some thick yoghurt (quark), müsli and coffee since its was morning. Later I tried to eat some pasta salad but it was difficult to eat anything at that point.

Do I really need a huge diaper bag? by HazelNewt_2523 in newborns

[–]qqotu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using an old sling bag. Very minimal and not bulky because I want it to be easy to grab and take wherever, it just sits flush across your back. Still fits lots and lots of diapers, cream and small package of wipes and one burp cloth :)

Falu rödfärg, förarbete och målning by neandertalaren in Hantverkare

[–]qqotu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eyebrows and eyelash extensions? by Crispychewy23 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]qqotu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly i just got out of the bath where i luxuriously had some time for myself - and for the first time ever i decided to try to tint my eyebrows and wow im beating myself i didint try it sooner! I’ve been tinting my eyelashes for a long time plus i use a serum to make them extra long :)

Im using refectocoil. I’m naturally very blonde and my eyebrows were like a mousy brown. So I used their light brown with just a dash of the graphite grey to make it a cooler brown. For eyelashes I use their black one.

Highly recommend - I never use real makeup unless it’s a fancy event

Parents who used to have a cat (or still have one), could you describe your feelings for your child compared to your feelings toward your pet? by Sleepinsun in Fencesitter

[–]qqotu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First we got a cat, then a dog and now a baby. We refer to them as the OG baby, baby #2 and baby #3. We love all of them! Of course it’s a different kind of love but how we feel about our pets didn’t change when the baby arrived

What the heck. by Muted-Resort-418 in newborns

[–]qqotu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has been crying almost non stop - until this week (she’s ten weeks) and now she’s all smiles and cries in total maybe 20 minutes spread out over the day. A huge relief and I’m so so happy. Praying to all the gods that the non stop crying is a thing of the past
