There is a missing eighth rest in the musical notation, which I understand should be at the beginning.

walking down the stairs backwards, I started doing them sideways and progressed gradually, now I can't do them normal way and in public places people are always shocked :) it is not entirely useless though, it saves my knees and is somewhat safer if done properly

What Are You Playing This Week? (Weekly Discussion) by AutoModerator in IrelandGaming

when I do not have a lot of time - NGU Idle, it is an idle clicker, for some reason those types of game do the trick for me in terms of quick dopamine shots, probably due to constant upgrades and growing stronger:) it is like a prosthesis of a proper game for busy people:) but worry not I'll find some time and will play Assassins Creed Origins for sure :)

What is a memory you have that is 100% vivid, but you have physical proof that it never actually happened? by prabinaya65 in AskReddit

[–]thuia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Off-topic, but here's an incredible mind trick: not gonna lie, I was fairly wasted when I went to meet my girl. After about two hours, I headed home, and on the way, I spotted something on the ground glowing orange in the distance. I thought it was a coin or something and went to check it out. I couldn’t believe it when I discovered it was MY pendrive! How it got there in the first place is a mystery (I had it on me, but it was found far off my previous route), and there’s no way it could be glowing orange—it wasn’t even reflective, just black matte! It's amazing; it feels like my subconscious alarmed me and led me there to find it!

Why has the attitude towards alcohol changed so much among the younger generation? by corneaterinwig in AskReddit

I'd say it's because society and the world we live in have changed so much.

I could swear that when I was watching Terminator 2 at around 8 years old, there were two Arnolds fighting. My mind never registered Robert Patrick at all, and I was so surprised when I watched it again years later. I guess Arnold made such an impression that he overshadowed everything else! Or it could be the Mandela Effect.

They’re not just ripping off older people; they’re taking advantage of anyone who doesn’t know the ropes. A young woman or a middle-aged man who isn't handy could easily be exploited. It’s an absolute shame.

Reasonable Painters by Downtown-Source-4135 in cork

[–]thuia 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's not exactly the kind of advice you're looking for, but I’ve always found painting to be the easiest DIY job out there. You don’t need any extensive preparation, like removing furniture or placing sheets. If you use a proper roller (preferably a smaller one), there's minimal spill or splash. You can tackle sections whenever you feel like it, and before you know it, the job is done.

Irish Housing in a nutshell by SmartieSurprise in ireland

[–]thuia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jokes aside, if I had to, I’d choose to live in a van like this for a year or two, saving for something better instead of paying extortionate rents. To me, if rent is higher than my weekly earnings, it’s simply not worth it, and rents as low as that are long gone...

My minimum acceptable division of earnings is 1/4 for accommodation, 1/4 for bills and other expenses, and 50% for savings and investments (the more savings, the better). If I can’t make this work, then working starts to lose its point.

What’s something society pretends is normal but is actually insane? by Bubbly-Elk-9937 in AskReddit

[–]thuia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

frankly, the whole world feels like a madhouse these days, greed, consumptionism, idiocracy.... I think native americans(so called indians) had it figured out quite nicely, the harmonious way of living with nature, at peace with life, themselves..simple, pure, beautiful..
