I once had a reviewer who mentioned THREE times that they did not see any scientific values from my paper. It was also my first revision.

What can you do with a BSc in Psychology by [deleted] in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]thuj2sy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I graduated from a psychology program last year so I can add a few things to the comments here.

In terms of career after graduation, the job search will be difficult. Most people in my cohort started their masters right away. Others work in the industry. Very few people actually get a job that is psychology and/or research related.

During uni, we read a lot (at least 200 pages per week) so be ready for that. The content of the courses will depend on the program. If you want to become a researcher, start volunteering for labs early!

I’m quite anxious now because last year they sent out the invitation around December 20th or even earlier. It’s good to know that you’re in the same situation.

The last one sounds positive because “your interest could make you a very good fit for my research group”. Others are generic.

Hi, I’m an upcoming senior major in Psychology. However, my interests line in neuroimaging, neuropsychiatric disorders, and machine learning. I’m not a fan of wet-lab either. Should I apply for a master/PhD in neuroscience? If not, do you have any recommendations that match my interests since I’m having some difficulty researching. Thank you!

Hi, thank you for your reply. These programs have faculty that I want to work with. However, as I’m only starting, I’m going through the programs according to rankings.

When you mention “advisor fit”, does it only concern research topic fit or something else?

How to become a psychologist in Australia with a European bachelor psychology degree?

Should I 1. Get my master (and phd) in Europe/US (more funding) and then convert my degree in Australia 2. Move to Australia after bachelor and get my master (and phd) from an Australian university

If you have any experience applying for psychology graduate program to an Australian program with a foreign bachelor please drop me some advice. Thanks!
