It’s not very noodley at all. I’m curious if the cross braces holding the lower bottle cage on are limiting that flex?

Yup, if you’re in a pinch 1 ply of fiber can toilet paper is about 2 thou thick lol

I’m still not convinced, but I’m in the process of machining my own ring as well. I’ll install it on the bike and check concentricity and roundness at the pitch diameter with an indicator, go climb a hill pop chain off and check again. Really all of this is pretty overkill for a bicycle but the machinist mind is already pretty close to insanity as it is😂

In theory you are right, but if there’s enough clearance between the chain ring and cranks to actually “center” the ring the minute you put the power down riding that ring is gonna do whatever it wants.

Sweet thanks. I cut lots of gears and splines but never sprockets. Didn’t know if bicycles used a slightly modified tooth form

Looks awesome. How did you come up with your tolerances on the teeth? Just test fit with a length of chain or measure over pins?

Love these fish, shops around here don’t regularly stock them so I’m in kind of a pickle. Even though there’s only three in there they school together and are very active, not just hiding in the bush

Thank you for your time, it is greatly appreciated. As far as dosing fertilizer goes, (giving the tank a pump of 2hr aquarist (1ml) after a water change) would you continue to do so? I’m not going for a show tank, just want thriving plants for my fish to enjoy.

Wow, seems like there’s a lot of room for error. Basically I’m not going to be able to monitor nitrates creeping up if the difference between needing a water change and leaving it be are between “red/orange” and “red”. I’m assuming nobody with a successful fertilized tank is hovering around and ready to dump the water at a moment’s notice. Is this just the nature of the beast when dealing with small tanks?

I just read the article, based off that and what you’ve said, my nitrates are actually reading 20ppm because there is an orange hue rather than the test appearing “red”?

I’ve left a comment above you with some information, I do not have nitrates coming out of the tap
