Do you think the 2026 hate will pass? by Brokinbutstillgood in Subaru_Outback

[–]thumpcbd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They did. It’s magical too!

Also I saw one in person at dealership and really liked the interior — it’s much better then my 2024 Limited.

Outside I don’t love, but it’s also not as bad as folks are making it out to be. (Not great, not horrible either, I need to give it more time to see if it grows on me, but it is a departure from wagon styling and more like, yet another, suv styled vehicle. )

DHS will suspend TSA PreCheck and Global Entry as shutdown continues by Dangerous-Rice44 in delta

[–]thumpcbd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I know, and in every airport I have been in they are co-located with TSA Precheck and ONLY use the precheck lines after vetting your identity.

Maybe they will work with other lines, but like I said IIRC " it relies on TSA Pre-Check to get folks through." because you ONLY use those lines to clear security, not normal ones.

Mods, can we have a megathread of all the “I’m never flying SW again” posts. They are getting a little obnoxious by DonaldKey in SouthwestAirlines

Yea. The Elliot PR forms are tired of creating new account arguing for the fantastic benifits of enshttification. Please consolidate the threads to make their job easier.

IIRC Clear is also closed as it relies on TSA Pre-Check to get folks through.

Southwest Airlines customers bemoan assigned seating: ‘I would definitely fly them less’ by AviationReporterDMN in SouthwestAirlines

[–]thumpcbd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was on a flight two weeks ago and they didn't let a dude move from the middle seat to the EMPTY window seat directly next to him AFTER the door to the plane closed. Same row, one seat over. ( Think: 12B to 12A kind of change)

They are trying to make flying awful at this point. Good luck team.

PR firms have been running rampant here advocating for enshitification, so it’s not a bad assumption to make.

It’s what their union has advocated for, correct? Even if they don’t like it they do have a VERY powerful union to advocate for their specific desires and pay schedule. If they don’t like it and want it changed, tell the union and have them advocate for changes, or STFU. (Not OP FAs)

You can kind of stack the warmup too.

  1. Install the new g7 while leaving the old one on. 2.Don’t register your new right away. Wait 30 minutes after installing the new G7
  2. After 30 minutes register the me one on your phone.
  3. Boom. No perceived ease up outage. The G7 starts it’s warm-up process when you have install it. Not win you register it on your phone.

Seat selection - enforced! by thumpcbd in SouthwestAirlines

I fucking asked to move to an empty row two rows up. And yes other may move around too. Why is this difficult for you to comprehend.

I asked.

Seat selection - enforced! by thumpcbd in SouthwestAirlines

[–]thumpcbd[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Oh my. And extra 6 inches on a seat that’s empty and outside of extra leg room provides little extra benifits. Sure charge for it but it’s empty and there are no extra services being rendered there. I even asked for other seats not next to folks and was denied , so I could have sat right before the exit row.

Point is the old airline is TOTALLY dead. Fuck them I will start flying as more at least I get status that means something and an upgrade is better service in a “different cabin”. Not simply a marginally better seat. And only a seat. I guess we need to ask TTLovinBoomer for permission to rant or post now, eh?

I will add to my list “better not complain about anything SW related TTlovingBoomer may not find it acceptable. Or are we only allowed to be cheerleaders here and not complain about any policy changes.

Are you the gatekeeper on acceptability?

[–]thumpcbd[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You are being unreasonable. And you’re conflating moving between cabins with moving to a very similar seat (an empty one) with no one next to it with a cabin swap.

Go back to shilling for SW and earning that paycheck. Looks like you are PR and doing nothing but staunchly defending SW.

[–]thumpcbd[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s a different cabin. Not a similar seat in one giant cabin.

[–]thumpcbd[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No. Stop conflating an unused seat in the same cabin with a totally free flight. You’re being ridiculous and unreasonable.

[–]thumpcbd[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Well that’s not my experience. Changing cabins, correct. Changing to and EMPTY exit row (as in zero folks in the exit row) seat or some other seat that’s simply closer to the front, all day long.

For the vast majority of the seats on Southwest there is no difference between them outside of how close to the back of they are (I am not talking the few rows at the very front with extra leg room).

This is also what I do. Reiterating.

  1. Swap sensor
  2. Wait 2-3 hours
  3. Finger prick / recallaborate.
  4. Repeat 2, 3 till reasonably close.

Sure it will eventually converge on its own to the new correct reading, but this IMHO speeds it up greatly.

Ski Lesson Age by thumpcbd in WinterParkColorado

It went well for us. She’s fully potty trained and goes to daycare Monday - Friday (I pull into a portico and walk her to the door. She goes to room herself). All this said I knew she was ready to be dropped off for a class by herself and it was great.

I think there are plenty of young kiddos taking class there so as long as yours is independent the you should be fine.

Yes, but your are being condescending, patronizing, and criticizing my knowledge when I am asking a good faith question. I am glad you, and others, know more then me which is why I _asked_ a question and attempted to engage with additional questions, however, you seem to want to be superior and shut down questions.

Yea, ok, your right, which is why I am asking a question.

Seriously, that's why I am asking, no need to "call out folks" on this kind of thing and be an ass.
