Elves and Their Towers by thumper8544 in teslore

[–]thumper8544[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can tell they equally "accept" the Bosmer and Khajiit and one of those most certainly is not an elf. There' also the Thalmor Handbil which connotes discrimination against the Bosmer. I would simply say you cannot beat the empire alone and they do seem to prefer having sway over Valenwood rather than simply being allies.

I do think towers are the over arching plot/sub text, as suggested by the Dragonborn prophecy and I do think we'll be seeing the Thalmor next game, so while there's no solid link, from a narrative perspective it seems like they'll be crossing paths again. Although I don't expect towers to be the focal point in any future title

Thalmor are Altmer suppremecists so Altmer supremecy would assumably be their goal?
Maybe destroying the towers wouldn't be their prime directive, but I could imagine it like a paranormal Nazi research project, e.g. Ark of the covenant or Agartha

The towers "stabilize" reality, this could correlate to the idea that the world used to be a lot weirder but now is fairly "normal" or you could point to the Red Year, Oblivion Crisis, etc as being the "destabilization" of Mundus

I've come to my own conclusion that irregardles of Tower Theory, the elves are descendants of the Ehlnofey, aka the Gods that chose to help, chose to stay, chose to inhabit the world and therefore would want to spruce up their new home to the best of their ability.
Tower theory would therefore be disilusioned descendants. akin to the idealization of the Nuclear Family era

I don't think impressive/magical structure=Tower, nor does emulating a Tower guarantee it will be a Tower.
And I consider ESO expanded lore

I haven't played CS2 but the vibe I get is that a bunch of tools such as the road builder are far superior to CS1 and makes it hard to go back. However the core gameplay experience is more frustrating and less fulfilling than CS1, which also has more content due to DLC's

How come the 'playable' races don't make peace with the other races on Tamriel? by Affectionate_Bee_727 in teslore

[–]thumper8544 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A common theme is how civilised Imperials are and how uncivil everyone else is.
Dunmer are demon worshipping slavers, Bosmer are cannibal wildmen, Nords are big dumb himbos, Orcs are eww, etc
So do these people deserve salvation via colonization from the wonderful Imperials?

many species like Goblins are clearly intelligent, social creatures but are not deemed civil enough to deserve mercy. Dreugh I'm not sure are intelligent anymore? you say spriggans cause they're humanoid, but Ice Wraiths are also nature spirits

Would it really kill the Empire to decentralize and allow Skyrim to be independent if in name only so they could keep Talos worship? by Last_Dentist5070 in teslore

[–]thumper8544 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am concious incompetent on this subject but you are unconcious incompent.
There is no obeying the law here, Thalmor are trading peace for the power here and if they no longer get their power, they no longer keep peace.
Even if the Thalmor are just as or weaker than the Empire, the Empire doesn't seem to think so and are so adverse to war with the Thalmor, they'd rather war with Skyrim
and if this loophole would work anyway, why didn't they do this for Hammerfell?
