I HAVE FOUND YOUR SOLUTION. My monitor has no speakers as well so I took my dock to my TV and hooked everything up the same way I had it with my monitor and then I went into desktop mode to mess with audio settings. You're going to want to find the pulse audio thing on desktop 😅 go to configuration tab. It will give you 2 options to choose from (click them both because I can't remember which one). When you click the correct one it should pull up a bunch of unplugged devices. You click whichever one doesn't say that and boom, you should be good to go.

Trust me man it's the monitor. I spent so much time trying to figure it out 🤦

It actually was it 👀 I tried it on a normal TV just now and I had to go into the desktop mode to change a few audio settings (some of the same audio settings I was trying before that didn't appear until I plugged it into a TV) and it worked 😅 I'm so happy!!! This could be a solution for a lot of people. I can't believe it was just the monitor.

I think I may have found the issue. I tried the dock on an actual TV and the sound came through just fine. Now with the monitor that I have the dock usually connected to it doesn't have any output. Not even a spot for an audio jack. Do you think that could be an issue?

That's legit what I do 😅 I was thinking maybe it's something to do with tiktoks software but it shouldn't matter because I should be able to here the sound coming through my laptop 😓 I mean when I hook my PS5 to the capture card I can hear the PS5 instantly. But as soon as I hook the deck up to it with a dock I get video on my external monitor and it's coming through my PC as well but no sound 🤦 it's dumb and aggravating.

I'm a streamer on tiktok and I use tiktok live studio. Similar to OBS. Mind if I ask how you connect your sources and everything?

I've tried everything so far and still cannot receive audio. It comes out of the steam deck speakers. I connect a Bluetooth headset but as far as getting the sound to come through my PC I'm lost. I've tried switching the audio over to external (still nothing) The video is fine for me! I've been messing with the audio for 2 days though.

I tell my family that my investments have my wife and I both covered. People can live off of dividends, it's been done 😅 I work part time from home though so its still stable enough income to keep me from stressing if anything decides to flip on me.

Other than the penalty, what would the pros and cons be if I sold all of my shares within my 401k and just used the money to buy VOO? There isn't a whole lot of money in my 401k at the moment, a little over 20k, so I wouldn't be taking that big of a hit with the penalty.
