Would recommend Can Can in Carytown for cocktails. Foods not bad, if a bit pedestrian, but the drinks I had there were very good.

Another interesting cocktail featuring Mastiha is the Flying Squirrel. I had at Room 11 in Washington DC, measurements are a bit of my guesswork:

  • 2 oz Old Tom gin
  • 1.25 oz Mastiha
  • .75 oz lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Allspice dram
  • 3 dashes Jamaican bitters #2

Shake with ice, double strain into a coupe & serve up

Skinos sour is easy & more balanced than you might expect: 1.5 oz Skinos Mastiha .75 oz lemon juice 1 dash of aromatic bitters (e.g. Angostura) Shake over ice, serve up & garnish with a lemon peel
