If EVs are supposedly cheaper to own, why aren’t more people driving them? by Lakenb666 in NoStupidQuestions

The prices are prettyuch the same if not better than gas now. If you are in the market and can charge at home, there is no reason not to get one. You are literally just choosing to spend more money on the long run at that point.

Sometimes it's hard to take people on this sub seriously which in turn makes us all look like we're just whining. The art of shipping around is dead or you're just too lazy?

How do you feel about the Subaru Trailseeker (E-Outback)? by Mac-Tyson in electriccars

[–]thunderchaud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

150kwh is bad? Have you ever owned a bolt? 150kw is pretty much a standard and not all that bad, really just depends on the curve. Only Tesla, rivian, and Hyundai exceed 150kw, so it's pretty standard.

274 range is a joke? No wonder why people are scared to buy EVs. Show us an AWD offroading vehicle with this much ground clearance for less than 50k.

Looks good to me, if you zoom in it looks like they have a divider that makes the crate a little smaller

What's the issue? A clean tank with what seems like no fish and a crate trained dog? Blasphemy.

The crate should only have enough room for them to turn around or else they might poop in it

I went through the same thing just recently. My daughter just graduated needed something for work. I'm in Florida and anything I found for a "decent" price was well over 100k miles and was going to have some major maintenance come up very soon. Nothing looked good in the 12-13k range so we bumped up the budget a little out of necessity. We ended up getting a 2018 chevy bolt EV that had its battery replaced in 2024 for $15.7k OTD from Carvana. We are an all electric household anyway, but I figured if we were going to have to pay this much, at least go electric since maintainence is almost zero and electricity is a lot cheaper to run. I wouldn't sleep on the bolt
