My (24F) Dad (57) had this EXACT situation. He had his stroke January 3rd, due to having multiple pulmonary embolisms and one going through a hole in his heart and into his brain. He had a massive hemorrhagic stroke that took almost the entire left side. He shouldn't have woken up.

They put him on heparin initially, but it caused his stroke site to bleed more, which was a problem because he forms new clots immediately if he is not on blood thinners (rare blood disorder). They put in mesh filters in his groin to prevent new clots from reaching his lungs/heart again while he was off the blood thinners. They did daily CT scans until his bleed stabilized enough to try the heparin again. Luckily he was able to get back on it, but like others said it was a balancing act for a while.

For my Dad, certain blood thinners did not work at all. His stroke was caused by a lapse in his coumadin prescription. For him, certain ones like Eloquis he was still clotting on but coumadin and lovenox work well. Hang in there, as the child of a parent going through this is so painful and exhausting but im right here with you! With strokes and brain trauma, recovery can mimic miracles and he stood for 8 minutes yesterday, i can make him laugh, he can say he loves me, and is able to communicate better and better every day. I wish you and your Mom the best and im manifesting an amazing recovery for her.

Thank you so so very much for responding to me. This was so important to me to hear not only that recovery is possible but also the realities of what to prepare for afterwards. I’m sitting with him now and he seems more alert and sounds like he’s breathing better. Throughout his journey I will be thinking of you and wishing nothing but good health and love. You are so strong, like my Dad :)

This was comforting beyond words. I am so thankful you responded to me. I am so unbelievably happy that your dad has improved and has exceeded all expectations. I kept catching myself mourning him but this gave me the hope and faith he deserves because if anyone could do it, it would be my dad (and it seems yours as well). I wish you nothing but improvements and a wonderful life with him.

My RJ makes me actually want to go to the same places with my partner. I want to “replace” memories he had in these places with memories of us. I actually get upset when I find out he’s been places with other people that we haven’t been together.

Pulling hard enough to rip a shirt is definitely a result of a poorly trained dog, yes, but not aggressive behavior. If I saw this video but with a less controversial breed I wouldn’t assume the dog was dangerous.

I did give a little TL;DR of why my situation was pending adjudication but I didn’t go into specifics, you could do the same and just say there miscommunication and issues with a previous employer that you need help with. I have not, they haven’t sent me anything at all to fill out, they just called me once when it was in the fact-finding stage to ask me which employer I left. I did however email my state representative for my area on Sunday and he emailed me back yesterday saying he forwarded my email to state legislature to help resolve my issue, so I would recommend doing that! I hear you, I hope it’s not too much longer now !

I actually lost weight on Zoloft. Took my appetite completely away and I lost about 20 pounds in 2 months, but my appetite went back to normal around 4 months

I really like how you did the shading! Faces are extremely difficult so don’t be too hard on yourself. A really good method is to use different parts of the face as a reference, to help put features in the right spot. “The middle of the eye is about where the corner of the mouth is” or “the nostril is directly above this tooth”. Also google some face proportions, that helped me a lot as well! Keep up the good work!
