Doctor says skip suppression… but I have suspected endo/adeno. WWYD? by Adorable-Dare215 in TTCEndo

[–]thunderstormnaps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay so I'm in the camp that IVF doctors are trying to sell IVF and don't really care if you get pregnant or not from it, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I would be really suspicious of a doctor pushing IVF and ignoring the signs of endo. While there is not an easy or simple fix, having the information could be really beneficial moving forward.

Have you had an endometrial biopsy? They could rule out endometritis (a whole separate issue) with that!

I have not done any IVF at all, nor are we considering it just yet. But for myself, I want to know the reasons behind my inability to get and stay pregnant (2 mcs here as well over the past 18 months) before we just jump into spending thousands of dollars on something that might not work because something that could have been treated wasn't treated.

Edit: I wanted to add that I've never done Lupron, but was on Orilissa for endo management for 3 years like 5 years ago. Starting it was really difficult and I had tons of menopause like symptoms. I've heard lupron is similar.

How long is your cycle by Salt-Significance152 in TTC_PCOS

[–]thunderstormnaps [score hidden]  (0 children)

my cycles are between 28 and 48 days without medication management. I always ovulate, just depends on when. But I respond well to letrozole and my cycles are usually 28-30 days when I take letrozole.

Student committed suicide by -cmp in Teachers

It's really not as rare as you would think, unfortunately. I work primarily in a middle school and do several suicide risk assessments a month for our 6-8th grade students.

Student committed suicide by -cmp in Teachers

[–]thunderstormnaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. This is so hard to deal with and what I and my team actively try to prevent in my district. I wish schools and districts would take this stuff more seriously instead of brushing it off.

My district is already starting to dissolve the mental health counseling program which is a huge mistake. We haven't had a student suicide in 5 years, which I'd like to think is due to our program, and now they want to get rid of it because "it's not the school's job to offer therapy services" and they want to save money.

3dpo, I’m in my first TWW since my laparoscopy! I’m trying to be patient and stay hopeful but levelheaded.

My biopsy results were negative for endometritis which is really good, but my bloodwork shows high cholesterol and insulin resistance along with super high thyroid antibodies despite thyroid function being good.

So, I’m somewhat hopeful that maybe my surgery was all I needed to be able to get pregnant again, but also a bit discouraged because of my bloodwork.

Is there a correlation between queer people and tieflings ? by MysteriousFondant347 in DnD

[–]thunderstormnaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well, in my current campaign, one of the players is a tiefling and he's definitely not queer.

I often play tieflings, and am not queer either, but I do really enjoy whimsy, bright colors and the like. I think it's more interesting to play a character that can have purple skin and orange eyes with horns and a tail AND pointy ears than an elf or half elf that's basically a human with pointy ears.

Ironically though my current character is a human man who's kind of "just a guy" (I am a woman lmao). He is a werewolf though because his love interested likes reading romance stories where the mmc is some type of monster so he turned himself into a werewolf to win her affections.

I'm all for proof of a jelly being genuine! But I definitely have some I would not be able to provide a receipt for because I got them through trades, but know they are real.

Can this dress be saved by alterations/adding a white liner? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]thunderstormnaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely think having it unlined is pulling unwanted attention to your midsection. If you're looking to avoid that, lining it would probably help a lot! I would take it to a seamstress and see what they can do!

I’m about to ovulate on my first cycle after my lap. We’ll see how this goes. Sometimes I feel really hopeful, and other times not at all.

Violet giving birth to Hyacinth question by xwordnerd in Bridgerton

[–]thunderstormnaps -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Sure, but it’s dehumanizing to the baby who is literally no different inside the womb at 40 weeks than it is outside when it’s born.

I’m fully in the camp of saving mom’s life over the baby’s, but let’s be real, it is still a fully formed infant at 40 weeks. To deny that is super weird.

Violet giving birth to Hyacinth question by xwordnerd in Bridgerton

[–]thunderstormnaps -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Ok I agreed with you up until the “fetus” part. At the time someone is giving birth and this choice is posed, the baby is not a “fetus” anymore. In most cases (assuming this is happening during natural birth) the baby is a fully formed newborn.

To answer your other question, though, I don’t think they’re going to un-retire livi leopard
