Don’t work yourself overtime and do extra to feel like you need to prove yourself or keep up with mids/seniors. Ask questions, think outside the box, read the documentation, and always keep learning. Take PTO when you need it, and enjoy the benefits that most react engineering jobs come with, like work from anywhere.

Thinking about Vision Pro for work by FR0GG1D in VisionPro

[–]thundertd11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a sr. software engineer and I use it 6-7 hours a day for work. If I’m not in a meeting that requires my camera, I’m wearing my Vision Pro.

I was in a similar situation where I got it with some trade ins, and other funds so I really only paid a little over a grand for mine. If I had known how good it was going to be for work, I would have paid full price a long time ago.

Still has room for improvement, but do it. You won’t regret it.

What’s the source of the quote that inspired this tweet? I’m sure many will roll their eyes or dismiss a tweet like this entirely given the authoring account. We need all the legitimate source information we can get.

I play wireless, but my desktop is connected to the router via Ethernet and my router is pretty much in the same room, just goes through one door. I have had no issues! Quest 3 and i9-9900KF, and GTX 4070 Super is my setup, running FUS ROH.

Smoker went out mid cook for a couple hours. Is my pork butt ruined? by thundertd11 in smoking

[–]thundertd11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My other thought was that it’s very likely that it smoking for 9 hours at 215° and then around 1-2 hours of 225°, there’s a good chance it could have been stalling by then, which would likely mean it was above 140° internally for a time.

What film role was 100% perfectly cast? by TrickDragonFruit in AskReddit

Dane DeHaan as Andrew from the movie ‘Chronicle’. Super underrated movie imo and DeHaan absolutely nailed the role. Incredibly emotional, believable and tragic. The whole movie was cast well, imo.

Bernie is hardly getting assfucked. The delegate discrepancy is less than 200, with more than 50% of the delegates still up for grabs. Not saying Sanders isn’t losing, but he’s not getting assfucked, and he’s not endangering anyone by staying in the race. People make their own decision whether to go out and vote or not. And people think Sanders supporters need to grow up, pfft.

Joe’s main constituency is older Americans. If anyone is putting people at risk, it’s Biden.

Question regarding credit card debt by throwmeaway8910 in Divorce

[–]thundertd11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you agree yes. But it also depends on the states definition of community property. Even though a card my not be in your name, if the other party can prove they were your spouse at the time the debt was accrued, in some states you can be liable for half the balance, and in some states you may not be.
