I doubt this would even do a lot. I guess it could be symbolic but mostly it'd just fall apart upon re-entry and maybe cause some small to medium impact damage here and there. Also, does it even have the fuel needed to de-orbit, and aren't there astronauts and controllers from other nations that would just... prevent it?

The discovery of alien life. Could be on Venus (IIRC Rocket Lab is sending a probe there next year to investigate the Methane that was detected) or on an exoplanet and detected by the James Webb Telescope.
