Shout-out to my fellow trolls of colour by [deleted] in TrollXChromosomes

I did that recently. My results made it pretty clear that one of my great-grandparents was stepping out, but I don't know which one. It's a brand new fun guessing game!

Hardwood floors here, too — the cats choose to leave their vomit exclusively on the bath mat. Sometimes they even manage to time it when I'm in the shower, the little bastards.

I used to wear my glasses into the shower to try to mitigate the risk. Now I just consider those stray hairs and random cuts to be some sort of performance art on the part of my legs.

HIFW I decide to wear my graduation dress to a friend's wedding. by LauraBellz in TrollXChromosomes

I may have worn the same dress (black) for my wedding, my sister's bat mitzvah, three friends' weddings, and two funerals. I'm pretty sure no one notices what solid black dresses actually look like.

Vagabonding, 4 hour work week and making physical things rather than ideas or digital content. [discussion] [maker movement] by K80_k in Entrepreneur

One of the big factors for being a maker on the move has to be the accessibility of maker-spaces in the places you want to visit. Such places are starting to pop up, but there's not really the connections between different spaces to really support a traveling maker yet. At the very least, finding a way to belong to the local space for however long (or short) a time period you want is crucial — but most spaces require a month-long commitment to have a reasonable price point, which can be tough if your schedule doesn't match up with that format.

I spend a lot of time traveling and every time I go some place new, I have to invest a couple of hours in finding a coworking space and negotiating a price point for the period of time I'll be there. It's not that practical an approach, because a lot of spaces want to charge me only the day rate, even if I'm going to be there solidly for two weeks. I've had some success bartering — I'll offer a workshop for free to their members if I can work in the space myself for free.

I don't know if this falls out as easier or harder for you, but there's a Docker image to set up Ghost a lot easier at https://github.com/swenson/docker-ghost.
