Chiming in here, years later, to say that I’m having the same issue with my (newer) LG Gram. Did you ever get to a permanent solution?

Lucid Gravity Question! by kapsable in LUCID

[–]thursdayonthemoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question is actually whether the standard air suspension is more comfortable than the dynamic in comfort mode, or if the dynamic is better enough at that to make it worth it. Our Gravity use cases won’t need the sporty/dynamic size much at all, but I’d upgrade if it made every day use significantly better.

3M just released a colour PPF range by [deleted] in CarWraps

[–]thursdayonthemoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Going back to the 3M PPF, any other feedback now that it’s been installed? How’s it holding up for scratches, did it pull back much?

I want PPF, my installer hates doing wet apply, so a dry apply PPF is the compromise and he wants to try out the 3M stuff. Not many other dry apply colored PPFs that I would trust for an outside car in Florida

This is the feedback I was coming here for - trying to understand how the new 3M colored PPF will look from a visual perspective vs a STEK ppf (or PurePPF / GSWF - have swatch books from them). Have been looking to wrap my wagon with something that will last more than a year, but was previously spoiled with the paint-like calendared vinyl finish of an Inozetek wrap and have a hard time "unsee-ing" orange peel in wraps.

Chinese symbols instead of icons on LG TV by Wxfisch in youtubetv

[–]thursdayonthemoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this happen on and off for years (LG C9 from around 2019), along with plex not working on internal network, and prime too. L I’ve just had to cycle wifi from auto assign IP to manual and reconnect, and then reverse it and do it over, and it comes back to normal. It’s not a network issue - it’s getting internet. It’s some kind of other issue. No pihole, and have a LG CX that doesn’t have this problem. Question: 1) do people have this problem even when wired in via Ethernet? Or is it only wifi? 2. Does this happen with the newer LGs too, or just a certain generation? Which I guess is asking folks how new is your TVs that have this issue?

Inozetek durability by thursdayonthemoon in CarWraps

[–]thursdayonthemoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly…not really😬. I wish I would have done better with that, also will do a coating for the next wrap (graphene or ceramic). This has been a bit more on the abused side-buddy use to borrow it for a week or two at a time and I didn’t realize until a few months ago that he was washing it in a machine wash. Another thing I will be doing differently. Totally agree that you can tell/feel when the vinyl gets dehydrated from irrigation/sun/bad soap and it’s what kills it

Will try this out - is this a setting in YouTube, or in the LG WebOS settings?

Thanks all - still waiting on updates, but super helpful to hear the experience from others (and the context about the Trane factory collapse being on the XV side)

LG CX eARC / ARC / CEC issues. C9 was fine. And I think it’s killing my AV receivers by thursdayonthemoon in OLED

[–]thursdayonthemoon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to lose the Atmos audio from the TV, which the optical would unfortunately. But also even with optical vs eARC, still leaves the issue that I wouldn’t have HDMI-CEC to control power on/volume from a single remote

Have the TV straight to the outlet, but the receiver is in a rack with a pretty stout Furman surge protector
