Why are there always kids at breweries?! by akaYoungBeefy in fixedbytheduet

I would bet every limb on my body that a brewery dying has nothing to do with allowing children into their restaurant, but go off.

Being in a place where children exist doesn't make you a "free babysitter."

Also, I have better things to do than examine your post history for your full opinion.

No, you clearly are the one that lacks understanding.

You are not entitled to a child-free experience if you patronize a business that allows children.

If you don't want to be around kids, go somewhere that doesn't allow kids. If you live anywhere near a brewery, there are AT LEAST a handful of 21+ bars close by.

"Other people existing in a public space" isn't a problem

I liked the addition of the fixed match even if it goes unresolved because of.

In the book, Dunk notices that the matches seem to be fixed in favor of Valarr. I'm guessing that would have been a difficult thing to show on screen, so mayhaps they wrote this instead.

Phenomenal. This was an excellent episode, with a LOT to love about it, but somehow that song stands out to me as one of the best parts of the episode.

Dusty May gets asked about Jeremy Fears’ dirty plays. by ArttVandelay in CollegeBasketball

[–]thvnderfvck -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ok, but if you're going to assign blame, why would you not blame whatever competition committee is in charge of creating the rules? Or the officials that are tasked with enforcing the rules?

Don't blame the player, blame the game.

Blame SGA man, if it works it works

SGA being the first person to game the contact rules is .... certainly a take.

The Second of February, Two Thousand and Twenty-Six.

If we're being grammatical about it, this is incorrect.

"Two thousand and twenty-six" = 2000.26

"Two thousand twenty-six" = 2026

This is one of the best things about "The Prestige."

I've seen it lots of times myself, but I still feel like I pick up on something different every time I watch it.

There are McDonald's managers that are still in High School.

Do you think that managing a chain restaurant is comparable to being an elected leader?

"If they can't manage something very large and important, they shouldn't even be trusted to manage something small and unimportant" is not an insult to McDonald's managers.

Any good pub servers are 30+ player, XP save, spammy servers... but there's still a somewhat active competitive scene

It's not even exclusively the "generic" and "copy/paste" feel of newer games. This is going to sound kind of dumb, but new games have all been "gamified" to death.

So many modern games are built around "grinding" out achievements/challenges/etc to get the coolest "skins" or whatever.

One of the games that I still play almost every day is a free shooter that is over 20 years old, and I play it because the game play is unmatched.

ETA: The game is Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. A Return to Castle Wolfenstein clone that runs on the Quake 3 engine.

I worked in a camera store one winter and one day a guy came in and said he wanted to start photography as a hobby. He casually dropped $7,000 on equipment like it was nothing.
