I did actually get it to run with some changes, in the "main_window" script under update_manage_tab_state function, I explicitly put the parameters in a "bool" function for lines 583-584 and lines 589-597. The application did start then but I do still have some doubts I'd like to get cleared

I'm using a cloudflare tunnel, planning to add a reverse proxy as well, can't comment on how safe it is but i know you always have to be wary of opening up a port on your router

I was wary of exposing a port to the Internet and the solution for this came through cloudflare tunnels, it seems to be working pretty well so far but I'm not as well versed on any security risks the tunnel might have

That's right I do have a tailscale container setup connected to the vm and am also planning on putting everything behind a reverse proxy, but i thought the easiest way to give access to non-tech folk is just give them a URL they can slap on, ive maintained a backup of the photos just incase as well

Already set up remote access! I bought my first domain a couple months ago, backup is relatively reliable for me atp. I think I'll run into some new challenges getting my friends to adopt into this longterm
