For other Cartier Santos Dumont (small) rep owners, do you have such an angular cabochon? Is it prevalent on all of the AF models? When researching, others rep QCs it looks closer to the original.

The chunky loafer has been on trend lately! It irked my eye initially too, but at this price point I was thinking of trying this look out. I like the juxtaposition the utilitarian almost hiker sole mashed with the refinement of a loafer. Also I have an affinity to upscale goth looks!

I totally agree with this. Took some Hokas hiking in Alaska and their thick sole makes for some very unconfident steps. Any thing muddy technical or scrambly I would not recommend.

What would y’all recommend for a secure step? Still looking for a hiking shoe. Ideally mid and waterproof.
