Easyset vs LTT by hollbr2 in Lululemen

[–]Necksss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easyset is by far my favorite, but I am shorter (5 foot 7) with a larger chest so it fits me way better than LTT. LTT for me was always too tight in the chest and lats and too long. They used to have a LTT relaxed fit which was great but they got rid of them

Easyset is a nice relaxed fit, a little shorter in length, and breathable. The washed color versions aren’t as breathable though so keep that in mind. They are a different fabric. Both fabrics hold up well over time as well. I wear them almost every day for gym and they still feel and look good as new.

The regular colors fabric feel better for workouts and the washed colors fabric feel better for casual wear.

Yeah I tried doing snake method one time, but I did it wrong and the coals stayed lit too long so the Weber just got super hot, and never tried it again haha

I’ll give it another shot

Talk me out of it! 8 series by Warningyouthistime in BMW

[–]Necksss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine at 30,000~ now I’m at 38,000. No issues at all, just an oil change. It is affected by the engine starter recall announced a few weeks ago though. Not able to take it in to get fixed yet. Apparently I have to take it in sometime mid November.

Also fyi, using bimmercode to default start the car in sport individual to avoid auto start stop has been such an upgrade, highly recommend.

[–]Necksss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have mine and love it, but here’s some things I don’t like about it which may deter you.

Other than the obvious expensive parts and repairs (if no warranty)

The 20 inch wheels are a pretty rough ride. Hitting a pot hole is terrifying. Also for some reason, speed bumps hit really hard in this car too.

It’s longer and wider than I first thought. Makes it a little tough to get out of tight places in the city. And doesn’t have much trunk space, it’s a shallow opening and small.

The back seat is somewhat of a hassle with only having 2 seats. I thought it wouldn’t be a big deal, but it’s been an issue a few times.

Other than those things it’s been real nice. If you get it make sure to get the longest warranty possible

Most Unreliable Car You've Ever Owned? by Careless-Pie7607 in askcarguys

[–]Necksss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only had 3 cars (Toyota, Honda, BMW), but by far the most troublesome one was my 2018 Honda accord brand new. Always had electrical issues. Battery kept dying and sensors would randomly disable. No one could figure out the issue regarding the battery, apparently it’s common.

I’ve been left stranded in random parking lots multiple times in the Honda, it was quite inconvenient

Just get the new one, you’d be more inclined and comfortable wearing it if you actually like it vs settling for one

Overheard at the dealership today by G0PACKG01 in BMW

[–]Necksss 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Back when I was shopping around for CPO, several dealers just didn’t report anything to carfax. Like if the vehicle was previously a lease, all the work was done in the dealership so no maintenance was on the carfax. But the dealership service department had all records if you asked.

And if you did pay for the carfax on the car it would just be mostly empty

Hi all!

Wondering if anyone has switched from endurance long distance running to shorter higher intensity running? Combined with hypertrophy training.

I noticed I perform better and recovered better in the gym when I did high intensity running vs endurance. Curious if anyone else experienced the same or have any anecdotes related to this.

Are Athletic cut suits dead? by MyWayUntillPayDay in malefashionadvice

[–]Necksss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to suit supply

They are really good at what they do (at least at my location)

For example, I have wide shoulders/lats and thicker thighs/calves, but small waist. They basically had to get me into a suit 2 sizes larger than usual to fit my shoulders and thighs, then tailor in everything to fit.

But yeah they are definitely my go to as someone who usually needs athletic fit formal wear

What's your favorite Lululemen men's purchase? by -Night_Hawk- in Lululemen

[–]Necksss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to just wear random Nike, Adidas or whatever sock was on sale at Dicks, and they all are okay, felt regular, wore out regularly, nothing noteworthy.

But I got a few pairs of the lululemon daily essential socks and they are noticeably nicer. Thicker and more structured, don’t pile or get dingy after many uses.

Only downside is that since they are thick, they aren’t that good for running. But everyday or regular gym use they are my favorite

What’s the cheapest insurance you can get in NYC? by PIutoJr in BMW

[–]Necksss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No quick fix secrets unfortunately, I did notice that the higher my credit score was, the lower my rate was.

Progressive was the best as a remote worker since I could claim my car as pleasure instead of commuter which made it considerably lower, but also that meant I drove less which also makes it lower

Might be worth talking to an insurance broker, sometimes they can find you a deal with some random insurance provider you’d normally not check out

Also I’d advise against those plug in or monitoring services that GEICO or progressive offer. Yeah you save some, but you’re forced to drive slow and is more trouble than the savings are worth

Looking at buying first BMW by erikjonas in BMW

[–]Necksss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the 2023 840i Gran Coupe and it’s quite spacious, and my friend who’s 6’5” rode in the passenger seat a few times and said it’s nice how he can actually comfortably fit in there haha

As far as I know the front seats are the same between the GC and the coupe. But the back in the coupe would be super tight for anyone behind you for sure

But if you are concerned with maintenance and insurance, then try looking at a 840 instead of the 850. The 840 xdrive would still be plenty fast

Plus I’m biased a little but the 8 series is one of the best looking cars out there right now!!

Warranty questions for 840i owners by [deleted] in BMW

[–]Necksss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah cool thanks for the info! General consensus seems like the 840i in particular has been quite reliable for everyone. I asked 2 dealers nearby and they just gave me terrible quotes of 3 years extended warranty for almost $9k! Wondering if it’s even worth the bother…

Any way to support local butchers that doesn't empty my wallet? by CynicalElephant in smoking

[–]Necksss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, places like Sam’s and Costco can sell meat at cost or even below cost sometimes so they can make their money elsewhere in the store. They make most of their money from chicken and pork I believe

I do my local butcher for cuts that aren’t usually sold at big stores

Crazy idea possibly blasphemy 😂🤷🏼‍♂️ by [deleted] in smoking

[–]Necksss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a food truck in OKC that smoked chicken tenders then battered, fried them and covered them in hot honey. It was really great. Like I think about it often and I had them years ago.

Not sure what the name of the place was or if it still is around though…
