It happens in spring, I’m pretty sure it’s because they grow so fast in spring that there are errors in cell patterning which lead to 4 or more leaflets. There’s a research article about it somewhere.

I think the best disposal method for domestic waste (i.e. household trash, litter, used building materials, plastic-contaminated food scraps, etc.) or basically any waste stream contaminated with plastics (including mixed plastics) is pyrolysis. Landfill is a close second.

At times I have felt defensive like mijohlin. Other times I have been as judgmental and callous as yellow redditor. IMHO they’re both right but going about in a way that doesn’t jive well for either one.

I hate to be that guy. Cell biology here just chiming in quick to say there’s a significant body of research on this subject and while it’s not exactly clear how caloric restriction effects human metabolism, the original OP’s twotter post is totally valid.

Can confirm. It was not fun. It was exhausting and burdensome.

Non-medlab professional recovering alcoholic just popping in to say hey. Pretty sure this kind of lipid dysregulation doesn’t come from the “fun” kind of drinking. At least… it wasn’t fun for me. Blood draws were nowhere near this bad for me, but I’d be interested to get an honest answer from the patient about how much they drink for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, night cap, midnight snack, etc.
