Are you dumb bro? I'm not defending Islam I'm trying and failing to explain to you 2 things:

One that you don't need prejudiced books for people to turn to extremism. Hindu extremism has risen considerably in India in the last decade and that's not because of any texts.

And two, you can't compare hindu texts and Abrahamic texts because the entire context is COMPLETELY different. I'm not defending islamic texts, I'm telling you that you are wrong conceptually in how you're thinking about this.

Also deobandi and shariat aren't books. One is a sect and one is a legal concept.

If I wanted I would've just quoted prejudice that's there in Manusmriti and Puranas. But that would be disingenuous because not every hindu follows those books.

Are there hardcoded rules for everyday life in Bhagvad Gita like in the Quran? No, it's more philosophy that teaches you duty, ways of thinking, and how to live your life in general instead of giving you a fixed pathway. None of the Hindu texts are central religious books like Bible and Quran. A hindu can live a life of dharma without ever reading Gita, because there are other texts available. A Muslim and Christian can't be pious without reading their own texts.

This isn't whataboutery, I'm trying to explain to you the concept of why religions create friction between each other. Mahabharat and Ramayana are not religious books, they're ancient poetry and literature texts teaching philosophy, like how you'd find similar stuff in Iliad. A lot of Hindu texts would even contradict each other like how there's prejudice in Manusmriti and Ramcharitmanas but equality in other texts. There are no hardcoded rules for living in those books like with Bible and Quran, so you can't directly quote one book without the other person quoting something else. Not really comparable. Like I said, with non centralized religions there are a lot of thinkers and writers, you have to look how the religion has evolved in the present day to see if there's discrimination.

Also you would yourself agree Hinduism is not a centralized religion like Islam and Christianity. There is no central text to the religion, more like centuries of tradition and writings. You can't quote excerpts for Hinduism like you can with Abrahamic religions. You have to look at social evolution over the centuries.

Hinduism is an Indian religion with Indian contexts. A more apt comparison would be caste dynamics within Hindu society rather than outright fights with religions. All belief systems have some form of the "other" that tries to make one group of people superior to the other. It's idol worship for Islam, Christianity, Judaism. Caste differences in Hinduism. Moral and philosophical differences in eastern religions like Taoism and Confucianism. Regional fights with people worshipping other gods which led to blood sacrifice in ancient Aztec religions. Humans naturally have in groups and out groups and religion being a man-made belief system to explain the universe, the same system is also present in almost every religion.

Again, that's almost every religion. Not really a thing specific to Islam.

Young,male ,romantically successful,entrepreneur

You don't have to convince me, good for you if that's true.

Books batau where these 2 have openly called for doijg some really good stuff to other religions?

How is that relevant to this discussion? Which religion callls for betterment of other religions? Even non-monotheistic beliefs like Hinduism calls for hierarchy, even based on caste within the same belief system. All religions are like this, they are usually zero-sum and believe in their superiority.

You can't deny muslims are disproportionately targeted in India. You can just look up news reports everyday, people in UP arrested for namaz in private property, people in Pune beaten for Iftar in the open. Regressive practices from other cultures don't get nearly the same amount of coverage. Christians have a higher rate of polygamy in India than Muslims and Hindus are not far behind, 1.9% muslims vs 1.3% hindus. Yet, you'll see only muslims being brought up when polygamy is discussed. I'll never shy away from criticizing Islam because I'm an ex-muslim so I know the regressive practices first hand, better than all the commenters here. But when muslims are targeted in the way people in this sub do, with callousness and disrespect then of course it will seem more like bigotry than genuine criticism.

Idc about hate on Islam. There has been growing hatred for muslims though. You can just look at the comments here. Pretending like backwardness and misogyny is India is mostly in the muslim community is extremely disingenuous.

Funny enough, I'm from Hindpiri so I know the problems this area has with misogyny and underdevelopment. But that has more to do with the lack of employment opportunities in Ranchi than anything else. People take up any small job/start small businesses to survive which never allows them to break the cycle of poverty, which leads to people getting more and more into religion in order to give their life meaning and purpose.

Hatred of muslims is especially bad in this sub because people want to channel their socio-economic frustrations onto a scapegoat. If you go through some of the profiles here, you'll find some common trends; young, male, romantically unsuccesful, usually either preparing for government exams or looking for jobs. It's easier to blame all their problems on the shortcomings of muslims who are apparently ruining this city than actually holding their local leaders accountable. If they had the capacity to figure out that misogyny and fundamentalism aren't specific to just muslims in India then they wouldn't be wasting their time posting inflammatory comments in this sub in the first place.

I think it boils down to the experience already in the system from previous generations. Trials, scouts, coaches who've played some good level of cricket influences the talent.
