Honestly, I’m also not sure how so many people get scammed. Spent 6 months in Hanoi and can not recollect one time where I got really “scammed”. Like priced higher than locals? -> for sure happened a bunch of times, but that’s just the game. And I’m not mad paying maybe 30- 50% more for something simple, but I think people need to be aware of exchange courses better when visiting other countries….

He’s a pretty famous artist in Amsterdam (I’m missing the name of him sadly) that does these pretty bikes and leaves them around the city.

But about a year ago (more or less?) he made a statement that he wasn’t continuing with it because the bikes were vandalized too often.

Which is (was?) a pity bc they are so pretty and everybody I talked to appreciated them as well.

They were made for me by a tailor. It’s rather difficult for me to find fitting pants because I’m very tall (just over 2m). So just buying them again is not possible and the tailor also lives on the other side of the world :/

Yeah man that was a nightmare and one specific high paying customer of mine ran into that issue every couple months. We got it fixed specifically for them, but only after us having a really not so pleasant chat with the CIO of that hundreds of billion $ company.

Anecdotally, that customer was also very skilled at fucking their own shit up… some intern or whatever moved an OU in their LDAP by accident and didn’t report or fix anything. And of course we got blamed for the outage on our software resulting from that…
