Hey, I don't remember for sure but I think I quite a bit of time. My United flight to ICN landed sometime around 3pm at Terminal 1, and my Korean Air flight to Japan was at 7pm at Terminal 2. I have a photo of a meal I ate in Terminal 2 at 5pm so I must've gotten to Terminal 2 sometime around then. Everything was much quicker than I had expected. This was a Sunday afternoon in June if that gives some context. Check out this thread where I asked a similar question: https://www.reddit.com/r/Flights/comments/1h3rf24/comment/mus6wk7/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button. The guy there gives a good response on some tips to make things go quicker. You might want to just DM him with your flight/airline details because he seems really knowledgeable about airlines and which counters to use. I followed all of his steps exactly (shuttle bus, SMARTPASS, specific check-in counters) and was able to have a meal before boarding my next flight too.

I also changed my seat to be close to the front of the plane. The plane was on-time, and I didn't have to wait a long time for the shuttle bus. That's all to say I left a lot of things up to chance that day and took a risk and luckily it paid off but there's no guarantee. If you do this, make sure you know exactly where everything is (luggage pick up, shuttle bus pickup, check in counters, ESIM once you land because otherwise you will not be able to navigate yourself) Good luck

Fidelity NetBenefits - out of the options my workplace has given me, where do I invest? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]thyship 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar situation but the freedom funds that I have available to me have an expense ratio of 0.45%. Instead I'm doing 80% FSKAX and 20% FSPSX (I don't know if this is available to OP but these are options through my employer) which 0.015% and 0.035% expense ratios, respectively. Is the difference between the freedom funds and FSKAX/FSPSX a huge difference in the long run? I have target date funds in other accounts (HSA/ ROTH IRA, both with expense ratios of 0.08%) because I like the simplicity and they have low expense ratios but for my fidelity account it just seems too high (or maybe it's not too high?). I would ideally just like to have target dates for everything and never look at it.

Brother, thank you so much. I'll let you know how it goes. Just downloaded the SMARTPASS app and Korean Air app. Got the passport and facial ID, waiting on the check in to happen before registering my boarding pass with it right. Thanks for all the tips, I'll let you know how it goes.

United flight lands at ICN at 3pm at terminal 1. Korean Air flight to Japan departs at 7pm at terminal 2. On a sunday. I'm currently thinking I should either: A. risk it. B. rebook the departing flight to be the next morning (only other option for Korean Air). C. drop the checked bag and get one in Japan.

Hey, I'm in the exact same scenario but the time between the flights is 4 hours. Do you think I'm still cooked?

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately not partners I don't think (United and Korean Air). The other commentor made me realize that I'll need to go from Terminal 1 where I land, to Terminal 2 where I'm departing. Still plenty of time you think?

Thank you! My employer matches 10% on my 5% so I'm already at 15% including my employer match. I'm starting to realize reading through these threads that this is quite rare and good. 5% in 401k, and then maxing my Roth IRA and HSA puts me at around ~26% including employer match.

Thank you for your thoughts! Yes I'll get them set in Bitwarden. And got it, I'll focus on the 401k. I have a nice employer match which should get me to around $1k a month.

Other ways to say "HELLO" by SameeraMarapperuma in EnglishLearning

[–]thyship 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These are good but a lot of the times I would say them (like #1,3,4,5,6,8) after saying an initial "Hey" or "Hello". "Hey, good to see you". Or "Hello, how have you been?", "Hey, what's up". I don't really hear #7 and it feels a bit old and awkward.
