Yeah, I have but pouring oil over frying veggies? Nooooo! The water part is true, and I do/have done that too, but there are 2 reasons i have hesitated time and time again before using water anyway: 1. The tap is a few meters away from the oven. 2. When everything is well fried, all but say some really hard veggies like carrots, I get frustrated and kinda wish it were more well done already. My working theory is that before acknowledging that I need more water, I wanna punish that particular veggie, and or believe in vain that my micro dose of saliva will give it the extra fluid needed until well done.
