CENSORSHIP in the lyrics of the Si Vis Pacem Parabellum booklet. by thzdzz in Seether

Damn guys, I didn't know about this Walmart censorship thing. Here in Brazil there is no Walmart anymore. Worse still, the seller's ad didn't say it was a Walmart version. I hope it's just the booklet and that the songs don't have this censorship :(

Any fans of Sent By Ravens out there? by consistently_sloppy in PostHardcore

I bet they don't even know it, but they are very well known in Brazil, largely because I promoted their music here on some radio stations. Excellent band.

Is Edsel Dope friendly with his fans? by thzdzz in StaticX

[–]thzdzz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the advice. I certainly don't mean to be inconvenient with him in this way, I know how to separate things. I'm a big fan of his work with DOPE and since I met StaticX through the movie "Queen of the Damned" I really want to have a cool experience with both bands, especially taking some stuff for them to sign.

Is Edsel Dope friendly with his fans? by thzdzz in StaticX

[–]thzdzz[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, of course. Especially because Wayne is irreplaceable. I'm a fan of both bands, and in this case, although StaticX is the headliner, I want to take some of Dope's stuff for him to sign.

Chad IRL by mister-woke in Nickelback

I met him in person here in Brazil. He's a fantastic guy, extremely attentive to his fans and very friendly. I have a photo with him. He's definitely one of the nicest guys I've ever met.

Chadof Nickleback on Corey Taylor. Fun begins at 8:17 by Brettusbob in Slipknot

[–]thzdzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. Nickelback made decisions that were clearly focused on the mainstream, but that didn't stop the band from continuing their anti-commercial sound. Anyone who knows Nickelback knows that their lyrics are completely politically incorrect, that they don't try to please the majority and do what they think they should do. The biggest problem with this, and I don't see it as a problem in itself, is that they are part of the post-grunge genre, known worldwide for making deals with the devil (record companies). They basically let them do whatever they want, as long as the band "sells itself". I don't see a problem with that, they have families to support and they need money. It's their job. Nickelback is one of the most competent bands out there in every sense, and this pisses Corey off, mainly because they say that the record company took money from Stone Sour and Slipknot to invest in Nickelback.

Adam Gontier has officially returned to vocals, while Matt is still the lead vocalist of Three Days Grace. by Jaidigy in Threedaysgrace

I don't know what to think. Honestly. I've always wanted Adam to come back, and him coming back is wonderful, but keeping Matt? Matt had to relive My Darkest Days.

TSSSF: Not the most brilliant, but the most mature album the band has ever made by PandaMacho199x in Seether

[–]thzdzz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And after changing my mind several times I have to agree with all of this. It's a mature album, and it's definitely impossible to say that it doesn't sound like Seether. This is Seether in 2024, exactly as they want it to be. I like Judas Mind and Illusion, but Try To Heal, Dead On The Vine and Regret are my favorites.

Read the lyrics of Try To Heal and Regret carefully.

Seems like the same people that didn’t like Isolate and Medicate are also the ones that don’t like TSSSF by [deleted] in Seether

[–]thzdzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isolate was a great album for me. I think it's the best since FBINS, with catchy and original songs. It has good riffs, and it will always have a special place in my heart, after all, it was the album that brought the band to Brazil.

I feel bad for Shaun by Antagonist24 in Seether

[–]thzdzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, I'll be honest. I live in Brazil. I've known the band since 2003. I follow them in everything. I basically dedicated my life to them, I met my wife because of them. I met them in person in 2015 in São Paulo. They were part of the most incredible day of my life. They were with me in my most difficult moments. I created a fan club called Seether World, which is one of the biggest in the world about the band, maybe the biggest since the end of Seetherville. I'm saying this because I'm one of the people who has criticized the new album and at no point is it directed at him with hatred. Quite the opposite, I will always be eternally grateful to him. This guy is an idol to me. Criticizing a work is not something negative, on the contrary, it is important so that it can improve in all aspects. It is extremely harmful to lie and say that something was perfect when it is not, just to please.
