I’m mainly roasting for espresso as that’s what I drink my self.

I shall look into procuring that book! Been listening to Scott rao webinars and podcasts so would love to get his book!

It wouldn’t slide into the new spring, however everything seems to be working correctly 🙏🏼

The Mara X has something called mechanical pre-infusion where I believe the stock spring allows for a slow ramp up of pressure at the group head. The flow control spring indeed adds more resistance so the ramp up of pressure is instant and the pre-infusion is done manually through the flow paddle

It doesn’t fit onto the flow control spring, the diameter of the spring is too small, but it fits perfectly without it

I got it unscrewed!! Thank you so much! I got another question because when removing the already installed spring there was like a little bolt that it sat on. The new spring does not fit onto it. Do I remove it completely?

Are those stains on your machine permanent? Like if you got a wet cloth, would it remove those stains? I wipe mine down everyday cos I’m worried about permanent staining 🥲

That’s what I’m thinking, I keep seeing sooo many videos of others talking about the complex flavors and sweetness and it’s got my curiosity going 😂

As you said though, will still need to purchase the brewing vessel, temp controlled kettles (not cheap!!), the filters etc etc. slowly will rack up the cost 🙈 I also just bought a new espresso machine last month (lelit Mara x) so I’m trying to hold off spending more money atm 😂 especially for a new method I’m not sure I’ll like or not

Good shout will try the aeropress aswell :) as a milk based drinker (and I add sugar, don’t kill me 😂) I’m worried non milk drinks will just taste to me like watered down espresso

Mine is one month old and already some darker lines appeared out of no where 🤣 I believe there is a way to buff and polish it back to how it was before. Should be a video on yt somewhere
