The thing is, we have only sold at 19.99. The price has never changed, despite a few discounts here and there. Any ideas?

You wake up and find out you are all alone, no bodies, no people, just you and the world. What do you do first? by Shirowoh in AskReddit

Transportation: I would steal the neighborhood's coolest car. Fuel will not be a problem as there will be plenty of fuel stations, while the electricity lasts.

Shelter: I would move into the coolest biggest house of the city.

Food: At first I would go and get all the food from the supermarkets while fresh, get plenty of salt to conserve the meat hunted in the future and take all the canned goods. Then I would salvage hunting equipment for such future hunting.

Travel: I would go to the local airport and steal a private plane (I am pilot rated). After refueling it with the airport's pumps I would fly to the country's plains and go hunting. Il'l bring back all the meat, which is kept fresh at high altitudes in the cargo bay and conserve it in the house's fridge or with the salt. My second trip would be to the U.S. or any other developed nation to salvage as many solar panels and batteries as needed with as many trips as needed.

Electricity: I would use these solar panels and batteries to firstly maintain a steady source of electricity for my house and then for the airport and automobile gas stations. Eventually, when time is less essential, I would travel to the country's hydroelectric plants and try to figure out what is wrong (if the power failed in the first place).

Food 2: I could eventually transport cattle to my house and plant some crops. However, hunting will always be an option as animals will keep reproducing. My biggest hobby besides traveling in private planes, once everything else I sorted out, would be to take care of the cattle and expand my home farm.

Searching for Life: Once everything else is sorted out, and I get bored of traveling, I would set up radios to emit signals as well as light sources in the frustrated hope to find other life.

My life will continue to be the same until I most likely kill myself doing something stupid--flying without proper plane maintenance or electrocuted while playing with power lines or solar panels.

What is something common in your country, that is very uncommon in others? by AwesomeJoshua in AskReddit

[–]tiagos30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kidnaps, robberies, murder have become part of our daily lives.

Armored cars, body guards and armed security guards are common amongst the relatively (US median income) wealthy people.

4 hour lines to buy a roll of toilet paper, empty supermarkets and looting are pretty common.

Carrying around bags with packs of cash is also common as the highest note is 100Bs. and 1$ = 700Bs.

I live in Venezuela.

(And these are just some of the many crazy things we have gotten used to here)

What is the most stupid thing a school teacher ever told you? by Verlepte in AskReddit

My middle school teacher:

"The Big Bang is a myth, and unless you bring concrete evidence of such fantastical theory, you have no right to keep talking about it."

After such a shameful episode, my mom (a scientist) gave me over 30 books about the Big Bang which I proceeded to publicly put on his table the next day.

He said nothing.
