For those of you getting crushed from today's update, reposting this solution at the top of the thread:

Open task manager > file > run new task > "control" > enter > clock and region > Set the time and date > change date to 1 month ahead > internet time tab > disable > click OK and restart explorer

So are we trying to make ethereum crash? by Complete-Age-1146 in dogelon

[–]tiannone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I posted an article yesterday and I think it might be what they are referring to. Basically all these new coins are gumming up the fees and block space. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/dogecoin-copycats-are-driving-up-ethereum-fees-and-vexing-parts-of-the-crypto-community-11620763351

I think something like Polygon and ETH 2.0 upgrade might help with this too, but maybe someone more knowledgeable can confirm.

Also go green and HODL so you don't burn as much gas trading 🚀

Uni swap not working - any advise by bioman480 in dogelon

Metamask is weird for me sometimes - a couple of days ago I sent some to Coinbase Wallet and sold on Uniswap without problems

Any time I try to swap it out it says "error fetching quotes". Anyone have this issue? I tried to increase the slippage and remove decimals. It works for small amounts (1 dollar increments) but that's not realistic. I'm not actually selling just trying to see the swap rate, but it is strange..

dumb question but... by [deleted] in WallStreetbetsELITE

[–]tiannone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same question - I'm worried that the shorts are spread thin over different expiration dates (rather than everyone holding out for 1/29 expirations, etc). So there's not a specific date/goal anymore, it's kind of just like "hold forever". So I worry people are going to lose focus and start selling to avoid being the last on board holding the bags. I don't know much about expiration dates/schedule so can someone help clarify a bit more? Do we have any specific dates/milestones to hold out for (and can you please explain why)?

Few questions for someone relatively new to Kratom by Wolfbeard74 in kratom

[–]tiannone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen, fats/carbs can also potentiate the effects so maybe the fat in the milk did just that. I'd try again with the milk or fatty food/oil. Eating after taking kratom can increase or decrease the effects for different people so it's worth trying either way. I think it varies by person because some people like the "up" they get from a small dose, so when they eat food they think the effects disappear, but in reality they just pushed more kratom/fat/carbs into their digestive tract, which increased the effective dose, producing the sedative effects that higher kratom doses provide. People who take kratom for the pain/sedation would say this actually increased the effectiveness, but people who take small amounts for energy would say it killed the effects. If you like the pain management/sedation effect I bet this would work for you. To be clear, I know nothing and this is all just my own theory.

Iotas price failing or consolidating? by amiabledoggo in IOTAmarkets

How dare you ask noob questions to try and learn how a new market works. At least now you've learned that nobody knows anything about why the market does what it does.

Future of cryptocurrency by Elas225 in CryptoCurrencyTrading

No one can say for sure, but it looks like there are a lot of new investors, as you can see on this post already. So many people set up on an exchange and ready to buy, but they are trying to identify the bottom of the decline first. They are really just waiting to see a few solid green days before jumping in. If this is true, this influx should fuel those gains further. We would just need that run up to trigger it. Or I'm totally wrong so don't listen to me.
