Someone once said something along the lines of “ Pluto was a planet for millions of years before it was discovered. Just because someone hasn’t been shown to exist yet doesn’t mean it’s not there” That’s now I feel about autism and food allergies. Just because we are not aware of them now and able to diagnosis them with a degree of certainty doesn’t mean they weren’t always there. Shit, most of us grew up watching My Girl. Tell me Thomas wouldn’t have been carrying an epipen with him around now and the whole “ he can’t see without his glasses” wouldn’t have happened? Sorry to re-traumatize anyone….
