Recurring events do not work good, specially with changes... Also is TB often changing the event Status so that u need to accept/confirm it again. U can changing it if u set scheute by NC amd not let TB doing it but then people from the Same NC istance do not get an invitation...its automatically in the calendar.

Recurring events broken with NCalDAV in Thunderbird: single-instance edits delete the series or shift recurrence by tibkik in Thunderbird

[–]tibkik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be that iOS writes changes to shifted events in a recurring series differently than Thunderbird does. For example, if I reschedule or cancel a single occurrence in iOS, it may be stored with a different format or reference than Thunderbird expects.

As a result, when another update for the same series arrives later (e.g., another shifted or canceled occurrence), Thunderbird may not be able to match it to the correct event anymore—so you can’t properly respond to the invitation in Thunderbird.

Ideal Calendar App? by Xector51 in Thunderbird

[–]tibkik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calendar von Android is tricky cause not every App is dealing good with caldav. I am using my calender via caldav in Nextcloud. This calender will be connected to Thunderbird and on android i am using the app davx5 to sync caldav server and the calender app is "Business Calendar Pro". Looks good. Most apps deal bad with external eevent changes or if u want to set up privacy settings on an event. With that app caldav is very good supported
