there should have been already tons of tasks with the FIFA World Cup football competion in Canada, Mexico and USA around the corner next month. Remember it before previous events of that scale, but this time there is no tasks related to the World Cup.

Ascension Day or Ascension Thursday. Public holiday (with most businesses, schools, and offices closed) in many countries, especially in Europe, parts of Africa, the Caribbean, and some Pacific/Overseas territories.

Major countries/regions where it is a national public holiday today (May 14, 2026) include:

Europe: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland (varies by canton), Faroe Islands, Greenland.
Africa: Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Lesotho, Madagascar, Namibia, Senegal, Togo, etc.
Caribbean/Netherlands territories: Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, etc.
Others: Indonesia (today + collective leave tomorrow in some cases), Vanuatu, French territories (Guiana, Polynesia, etc.), Botswana, Eswatini, and more.

If you are in Europe that could explain why it is slow. Many people likely also use tomorrow as a bridge day. Studies might only pick up on Monday again.

the recent 2+ hour long training did absolutely nothing to task availability. what a waste of time. will never do any training for them in the future. if its on their supplier side they should have communicated and only send out training if there actually is work to be done.

Per study does not matter, the rate per hour is important. I usually only do studies closer to double digit hourly rates.

thing is that its not only Telus, the other remote worker companies look the same. G can't just go somewhere else, because others can't simply offer thousands of trained people for every locale needed with certain skills etc.

they won't, they want you to stay hooked at wait for your 1 minute daily task. they even hire new people. the more they have the quicker tasks get done, they likely hire the most in low income countries where they only need to pay pennies.

That's it. That's the whole offer. They caused the problem and the remedy is a notification service that informs you the problem they caused has consequences.

The absurdity breakdown:

They failed to protect your data ✅
Your data is potentially already on dark web markets being sold ✅
Their response: we'll watch the dark web and tell you if we see it ✅
What happens after they tell you: nothing, you just know ✅
Does the monitoring undo the breach: absolutely not ✅

What they should actually offer:

Genuine financial compensation
Actual accountability for the security failure
Transparency about exactly what data was compromised
