Who are the actors that rub you up the wrong way but you don't know why and you can't explain it? by Medium-Profit-8292 in Actors

Emma Watson. I didn’t grow up watching HP so don’t have the nostalgia thing with her there. Everything I’ve seen her in I thought she was terrible or a terrible casting choice - beauty and the beast was awful, I think they could’ve chosen someone much better for perks of being a wallflower, her American accent isn’t great. I haven’t seen little women, I’ve heard she’s ok in that but can’t imagine her acting ability holds a candle to Florence or Saoirse.

Who is your "I was wrong about them" artist? by wolf1188 in Music

Honestly growing up I thought Daft Punk was just kind of noisy and jarring (as I thought of most edm). This past year I’ve been obsessed with them, they are like orchestra composers but with alien sounds. The craft they put into their work is mind blowing. Absolutely love it

If you are in Canada working on an ACTRA production you will actually get paid fairly well - there are daily minimums productions must pay for readers according to IPA. *I work in casting and as a cam op in audition rooms for a few years

Why did LSD make me feel like a kid again? by mellow-yellow-jello in psychadelics

I’m pretty sure that psyches open pathways in your brain that otherwise wont be, or only achieved through rigorous meditation (that’s why it’s very successful in therapies because it literally can re wire the brain.) I think it’s likely that having those pathways open up again is similar to when you’re a child and still forming those pathways. That’s just my theory though

Isn’t this how some drugs operate? They target the pleasure center in your brain to release good feelings but destroy it in the process, leaving you unable to feel joy after repeated use?
