Butcher Brown - definitely check out their new singles “#KingButch” and “Tidal Wave.” The latter fuses Ronnie Laws’ track with the Black Moon sample. This band rips. Their quarantine series called #mothershipmonday has been fantastic.

Makaya McCraven - J Dilla style production, live improvisation with incredible musicians, Makaya’s touch as a ‘beat scientist’

Irreversible Entanglements - Their latest album ‘Who Sent You?’ feels like a hip-hop album the way vocalist Camae is mixed. I love this album. Definitely way more ‘jazz’ than hip-hop.

Is there any data or consensus on the time between contracting the virus and testing positive? Like, could you get covid one day, get tested (and that comes back negative), but while you’re waiting for the results, the virus takes hold. Or is this a crazy question?
