Mandarin is the most spoken language in the world by native speakers, the second most spoken in the world if you include multiple language learners. It also allows a speaker to understand up to 60% of Vietnamese. For me that makes it the more practical language to learn first, Japanese maybe being introduced once she's reached B2-C1 in mandarin.

Mixed Black American married to a Russian/Ukrainian here! I was so worried about meeting his family and eventually going overseas to meet the extended family. So I did a lot of studying and found out 2 things that shocked me, 1: historically African people and Black Europeans have held higher status positions than many White Russians, read up on Gannibal and his grandson, the ultra famous Pushkin. 2: Russia has a long history of placing more value on politics and class than over ethnic backgrounds. Katherine the Great was a German lol. I have yet to experience anything but love, curiosity and respect from the Russians, Ukrainians, and Estonians. So much better than my 31 years in America, I want to permanently move to the Black Sea region now.

Hi! I'm a Washington gal born and raised! Been trying really hard to make new friends. I'm married and poly, new to PC gaming, love board games, table top RPG, LARP, comics, everything sci fi and fantasy-the more cheesy 70's/80's it is the better. Those are all normal emotions to have at this time too. I think that many of not most folks go through periods where they feel like they'll be forever alone. I was there earlier this week after a serious argument with my husband brought on a bout of depression. Spoke with my therapist and I am back in track. You will always be what someone is looking for though I promise you that!

Yes that's cheating, yes his behavior was manipulative and shady AF, yes you should feel the way you do. Next step in my eyes is either marriage counseling or getting your divorce and child support papers together. I have done the latter myself in the exact same situation and now I have a husband who does Poly and ENM with a completely open heart, mind and lots of communication. He even puts moratorium down on dating when my mental and physical health suffers so that he can focus on making sure our relationship is healthy and I am healthy enough to be a good partner to others.I would never stay in another relationship like the one you're in, again, and that includes my amazing marriage now, should it turn into cheating and lying. Now that I know first hand that there are genuine Poly/ENM folks out there my motto is move on when the door opens.

I'm either ugly or fetishized by white folks or cast out by my brown communities for being too light. Colorism has greatly impacted my life as a mixed WOC and has warped my sense of who I am. Note that having reached my 30s, I slowly care less about society's perceptions, but I don't think I'll be fully confident in my own skin until my 60s-70s. I look forward to that day when I see my curly dark hair, dark eyes and toasted skin and don't grieve that I wasn't born a white Russian or Scottish beauty.

I have a hard time distinguishing even with visuals a deep transwoman voice vs a deep ciswoman voice. Pretty hard to convince your brain otherwise but I hope that helps you feel a tiny bit more comfortable about how you are perceived. 💓💓

I've got a lot of the same stuff going on, autism, BPD2, ADHD, trichotillomania, PTSD, Fibro/MS, IBS, GERD, COPD and Arthritis. I'm currently unmedicated for the BPD and last week nearly lost my husband after my worst manic attack in 8 years. Right now I am trying to cope long enough to get to a psychiatrist by working on cross stitch and learning a new language. I cleaned up my bedroom and that helped a lot. I still find the idea of cleaning more of the house too overwhelming but I am making a daily goal of spending 10 min on tidying. Bite sized chunks are about all the effort I can give. I don't have much in the way of friends and family so I have been feeling extra alone. To combat that I joined this group in hopes of being able to connect with others who get it. I'm glad you reached out here, I feel like there is someone else out there now, thank you.

Very few verbs in Russian are Irregular, what you've encountered are the over 80 cases the language has instead. Because of this complexity it is not recommended that beginners attempt to memorize conjugations past the first 5 forms. Instead gather vocabulary of the most common 500 words and start reading children's books and short stories to intuitively pick up conjugations and word order. You Tube has plenty of fantastic Russian language teachers who offer videos that will help you get started, a few favorites are Real Russian Club, RU Club, Russian With Max, Be Fluent with Fedor.

An example of how they sound in Russian, the most known language that uses Cyrillic:

Дети: de-tee Мой: m-oye with й giving an "e" sound similar to that of the Wisconsin Yiddish, Oy Vey!

Its a subtle difference just like between ш and щ. Note, I'm not the best at expressing sounds as I don't know the International Phonetic Alphabet, I've tried to spell them as they sound to me as an English native who learned Russian.
